Dem songs that those boys from the UK sang and wrote I think they was called The Beatels or dunebugs somthin like that. Those songs make me think about Hell. Cuase they thought they was bigger then God.

Jerry Jeff Walker "Pissin in the Wind" makes me think also. Cuase that has been a lot of my life.

But it all goes back to "Amazing Grace" cuase He has saved a wretch like me. And if anyone deserves to sit next to Lennin for eternity trying to Imagine no religion it is I.

John was a different thinker. Unfortunately, what he said was true. People would rather listen to what happens in "pop culture" than read about the life of Jesus Christ. I think at the time that he made the comment, he was mesmerized by how popular they had become. It was ridiculous.

JV_Coach, think about your comments regarding kids today. If they weren't listening to people that are popular, and read the scriptures, wouldn't their lives be so much more fulfilling ? They don't, so at that time, The Beatles were more popular than Jesus Christ. In our day and age, it's even crazier.

I listened to the song you mentioned, and it's a good song. I think we have to have hope in people, otherwise as Jerry Jeff sang: it just goes down the sink.

"Amerika" Rammstein : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4w9EksAo5hY

Many songs make us think about many things, that we see in our lives. This is what the Democratic Party desires for us to hear :
"Brother Can You Spare A Dime" and this is for those that hate George Michael : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Y9q6wBCd9o...PL&index=96 . I think he did a great job with the tune, but...He sang the song in 2000.

It's not coming down hard on people, for their choice of music. Or making fun of people for their avatars, or what not. It's understanding them.

Proud To Be An American

Artist: Lee Greenwood
Title: Proud To Be An American

If tomorrow all the things were gone,
I’d worked for all my life.
And I had to start again,
with just my children and my wife.

I’d thank my lucky stars,
to be livin here today.
‘ Cause the flag still stands for freedom,
and they can’t take that away.

And I’m proud to be an American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
‘ Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA.

From the lakes of Minnesota,
to the hills of Tennessee.
Across the plains of Texas,
From sea to shining sea.

From Detroit down to Houston,
and New York to L.A.
Well there's pride in every American heart,
and its time we stand and say.

That I’m proud to be an American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
‘ Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA.

And I’m proud to be and American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
‘ Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA.

I Promise You I Will - Depeche Mode http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ei7uVNyna1M

I'll admit when I make a mistake. While Depeche Mode has been credited with writing this song, they didn't. At the time I posted this back in August, I even heard the DJ on the radio say it was Depeche Mode. I looked up the lyrics, and many of them were attributed to Depeche Mode. I'm not a big techno pop fan, but this song made me think. I have to ammend this song, and say it was " The Promise" - When In Rome : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmME6SPPNo4 and I edit this on February 21, 2009.
