How many of you heard what he said over the radio after the race. Not one time have I ever heard anyone from the team tell tony after he wrecked the car that he cost them a win. This guy is a poor sport and maybe he will understand how his mouth overloads his behind next yr when his cars are running dead last (I hope)

Aren't we seeing this on a regular basis in the NFL?

I did read, precious. Then I posted.
Since it went right over you head, my point is that you like it in the NFL but dislike it in NASCAR. Weak.
BTW... who's starting a fight?

Nope dont like it in the NFL either. Just play drive or what ever sport you play just do it. They get paid to play and to sit there and blame someone for not pulling his weight is crazy. Tony is one to throw his guys under the bus but when he wrecks its never his fault. Thats what i am trying to say. If i took what you said wrong then here is my apology

But if he wrecked, isn't there a chance it is the crew's fault? Too tight? Too lose? Too much wing? Not enough wing?
I don't know. But I do know I agree with Blue. You DO see this all time in the NFL. Some fans even make excuses for it.

Bleeds... I would even argue that NASCAR fans specifically make excuses for it in other sports then complain when they see it in racing.
Maybe I read Ball's posts wrong in the TO thread, I don't know. I'll have to reread it.

Too many athletes run their head in most professional sports. Confidence and belief in your team/teamates/crew/organiztion is one thing but running off at the head is something I can't stand. They should all take lessons from people like Mark Martin, Marvin Harrison, and all the other professional athletes that let their play/driving do the talking.
As far as Tony Stewart is concerned he is a grade "A" certified punk... with a capital "P"... always has been... always will be... one heck of a talented driver but he cries and talks trash to/about anyone he perceives to be interfering with his chances of winning.
He may have a seriously different perspective next year being an owner/driver, he will see first hand how much work/money it takes to be a true contender. He will probably still throw his competitors/crew/NASCAR under the bus regularly.

Tony Stewart enough said! The guy has had anger issues his whole career, but in his defense, there is no defense. Did you hear what Zippy said back to Stewart after he ripped them team? Listen.

Go to a race...Listen to the scanners... Then say what you want about who says what to their crew chief! They all get a little hot headed! 500 miles in a cockpit where you have to be wide eyed and bushy-tailed from start to finish will tend to alter your mind a little. Smoke is a little more hot headed than most, I will give you that, but they all say things that they regret saying. It is all about what the media chooses to let you listen to. My two cents!

They all loose their "mind" from time to time. You can listen to the headsets at the race or on your computer at home........pick a driver that has a car going south and there is a good chance he is gonna let something slip. I admit that I would like to see my driver, Dale Jr., shut up and drive from time to time. But heck, if my car was slidding at 185mph I would be ticked off too.
As for Tony he is one of the ones that seems to blow up more than most. He should save some of it for the post-race break down in private. No matter the sport don't rip your teammates in public. Tony has large issues. When we go to the Texas Races and are in the garage it does not take long to figure out the nice guys from they busy guys to the shy guys to the cocky guys to the jerks. Tony has never fit into the nice or shy catagory but does rotate in all the other ones. I have gotten Dale Jr. autograph but can't get a look from Tony so he does have ego issues he needs to work on.
