Texas High is 3-0 in district. And has a match record of 54-0 in district play. I may be wrong, but this was probably the best chance to take a match off Texas High although Sulphur Springs or Longview might have a player or two. Next district match is 10-2 vs Longview.

Saturday Texas High and Lindale have team matches against Corsicana and Ennis at Tyler JC. While it appears Ennis is a bit down this year, historically this weekend has the best high school tennis played in the fall in East Texas. Matches are in the morning and afternoon.

Texas High will beat Longview 19-0. They are really down this year.

Not at all surprised by the Ennis score as their program seems to be in decline, which is sad. Surprised by the ease of the Corsicana win.

The most recent rankings had Corsicana #9 in the state and Ennis #21. Texas High was a #16. To date Texas High has wins over the current ranked teams - Wichita Falls #5, Corsicana #9, Waco Midway #10, Frisco #17, Ennis #21 and Lindale #25. Their two match losses are against #15 Frisco Centennial and #17 Frisco.

Texas High was has remaining matches against ranked opponents McKinney High #24 and Lindale #25. The Texas High record is now 14-2.

Next match is Longview on 10/2.

I saw in the new rankings that Lindale dropped to #25, while Ennis appeared at #21. I wonder who Ennis has beaten to get into that spot. I figured they would finish 3rd or 4th in that district, with Corsicana and Waco Midway at the top and Midlothian and Ennis fighting for 3rd. I really don't know why Lindale would have moved down. They are playing well right now. It is also a joke that Texas High didn't move up further. They beat 3 teams ranked ahead of them in the polls, including a top 5 team. They also just beat Corsicana which will be a factor during the next ranking. I would think that should get them in the top 10.

How is the 13-4A looking for second place?

In 14-4A, Lindale is in the top spot sitting undefeated, and Kilgore is tied with Jacksonville for second, with Kilgore having the head to head win over Jacksonville.

Whitehouse is 1-2 in district getting beat by Kilgore and Lindale (both 19-0), but they beat Henderson 10-4 officially. The 2 that would have returned might have made the team a little deeper, but the scores would have probably been about the same against the top teams in the district.

yea i think that would have helped...i heard one of them is kinda being looked at by a military academy...apperently all he did over the summer becuase of the move was play tennis and take lessons haha but i think they would have been able to hold close in their matches with lindale and kilgore but who knows

Notice Texas High beat Longview 19-0 in a district match to move to 4-0. Played Sulphur Springs on Tuesday, but have not heard the score. In 4 district team matches, the individual match record is 73-0.

Texas High defeated Sulphur Springs 19-0 in a Tuesday match. They are now 5-0 in district (92-0 in individual matches). Last match is next week against Hallsville.

Saturday they return to there second home to play matches against McKinney and Frisco Wakeland. McKinney is currently ranked #24.

We think it's a joke too...but we hope are record against quality teams will eventually get us into the top 10 or a great seed at regionals. We work our tail off and apparently something is preventing us from moving up in the rankings...especially after beating #4 WF Old High and then they only moved down one spot? Someone explain that one.
