Only 4A & 5A have an UIL sanctioned Fall Team Tennis. A few 3A teams play a fall schedule (Center and Van) and several others dabble with tennis in the fall (Pleasant Grove). It is the UIL sanctioned team tennis I think is the overriding consideration.

4A and 5A Team Tennis is ran by UIL while 3A is ran by TTCA. In 3A there are no districts, you go straight to regionals. Depending on which region your are in, they will take 2 or 3 teams to state. They take 16 teams total to state, which is held in Waco. Bullard would probably be in the region with Van, Spring Hill, Wills Point, etc so Bullard would never make it to the state level.

Kaufman, Wills Point and Van all play fall tennis, but you're right about it not being sanctioned. However, in order to establish seeding information for regionals in team tennis, most of the competitive teams try to play in the fall
