we play the SAME music every YEAR!

Everyone thinks it doesn't get the team or crowd pumped up..

and it really doesn't.

i wish our band director realized that..

i mean, contest is over..we should be helping out the team now with some krunk music!

Yeah, I'm from Union Grove, we make up music when we get tired of our music that we're given. Try it.

uhhhh being a member of the SH band, i'd have to say White Oak.....They play the same stupid song over and over, it got annoying. Anyways at SH we play seminole at kickoff, crazy train, stand jams(if you what that is, many bands play it), our band director likes our fans to like the music, so we are pretty much aloud to choose what we play

I was at the Longview/Hallsville game last week and I bet i heard Hey Baby 7 times. I thought I was gonna go crazy.

Hey im in Jefferson Band we play are own songs. We play stuff like " Stanky Leg" "Tatted Up" " Im Not Myself" "Talking Out The Side Of Your Neck" etc.. Like dat we only play that other stuff for the majorettes and strutters!! Yea are band might not do to well at contest but we got the kruinkness!! We played white oak last night they were good on the field i guess!! I caught a few mistakes in there starburst!! In the stand for white oak was a mess!! There players were dancing to our music!!

To me I don't beieve that JFIB has the worst football music & as a proud member of this band I actually enjoy the music & it's not up to the band to get the football players "CRUNK" it is up to the football players to do it themselves! Actually I put it like this the only reason for a band to be at a football game is to entertain the crowd not the players the players should be able to pump up themeselves also if are team wasn't so wack they wouldn't have to blame the band for their faults...we're not the one's playing the game we're just the ones who blow are horns and march during halftime! Sorry Indians but ya'll can't blame ya'lls sorry-ness on the band....besides we have more awards tha ya'll do! Now catch that & see if you can run with it! :censored:

Grow up...have a little school pride. Each group should support the other. I know that it doesn't happen often, but it does happen from time to time that football teams support the band. Statements like that just drive wedges deeper. With an attitude like that...well...

I agree...anyway to get back on the topic, i'm in a military band so I've grown up with relatively old music, but we play a couple modern day songs, so i believe NB did a good job. I enjoy some of the pretty stand tunes from like what Queen City does . I was some what dissapointed with Pittsburg playing the Aggie War Hymn repetively, but with all do respect thats just my opinion...

Its really not the bands job to "hype" up the football team. The band adds to the atmosphere of a football game and also can help the people in the stands get excited and cheer for the football team.

In Union Grove, there are a few songs that some of the football players asked us to play because it got them ready for the game. So, in some case, we hype up our team as much as we can.

The only time that we play the Aggie War Hymn is when the football team score a touchdown.
It's our fight song. :/

I'm from Carthage and our band plays very boring music.

I loathe majorette tunes. ugh. I want some stand tunes where you can just crank down and blow!!!What kind of tunes does carthage play?

ha, man i envy you. we need some better music. at the ashdown game we were playing 60s tunes while the "purple pride" band is playing "let's see how far we've come" a 2008 hit. The point is we need more modern tunes.

So do we. We're playing things like, "Wipe Out" and "Louie Louie" and "Smoke on the Water."
These tunes are SO old and sound like #### no matter if the band plays them good or not, because of the crappy way they were written.
