This district in golf has to be very tough this year. Not only do you have Pine Tree who has been to regionals for at least 6 year in a row, throw in Longview, Tex. High, Hallsville, Sulphur Springs, Marshall, Mt. Pleasant and you have some schools that can play some golf. This will have to be just as tough as those Metroplex districts with Highland Park, Frisco, and Mc Kinney

Pine Tree will win district...again. But Hallsville's Nathan Weant or Texas High's Conner Ribble will win district medalist.

I am a fan of the PT boys golf, but this will be tough to do. PT graduated 5 seniors last year I believe. They do have some players coming back including: Brandon Sledge, Michael Stuckey, and Blake Dickerson. They are all capable of shooting par any given day.

Weant and Ribble are definitely the 2 to beat for medalists.

Stuckey was district runner-up to Weant last year, and Sledge got better over the summer. Unless Texas High and Sulphur Springs have some people I don't know about, PT will have a pretty good chance at winning dstrict again if they can find some decent 3 and 4 players. I don't know much about SS or Texas High though or Mount Pleasant.

Sledge was a district medalist as a freshmen, so he has the game. You are right, if PT can find 2 decent 3-4-5 guys, then they will be tough to beat. Dickerson is a Soph. and he shot in the 80's last year. If he could bring that down to upper 70 then that would be great.
Where did they decide district was going to be? I heard Robson Ranch last year, but I also think I heard they changed it.
