I am going to the Daytona 500 this February and was wondering if any of you have been? This is my first time to go to a race and any hints would be helpful!

2 tips...........wear green and red..........and the front row are the worst seats

Bring binoculars and ear plugs, or better yet, get the ear phones to hear the radio broadcast and the drivers chatting with their crew chiefs, fun stuff! It is LOUD, but it is the most fun you can have at a sporting event, imho

Bring plenty of $$$ you will need it. Daytona USA is a cool place to visit. Wear your favorite drivers colors proudly, but don't talk smack about over drivers, I have seen a few scraps over stupid stuff. Have fun.

Have to see the Daytona Experiance(aka Daytona USA), Get the sprint Fan View(Scanner,Radio, and TV) can rent at the track, don't waste your money on the fan zone, and you have to eat at Bubby Gumps on the Beach

Don't take the kids to the camp ground after dark...... might see some stuff that will scar them for life.
