JC's men are now 6-0 in the very tough reigion 14. The have posted road wins at Blinn, and SanJac, and just this past Wednesday toppled the other undefeated team and cross town rival Lon Morris. The Jags are undersized but have blazing speed and alot of heart. Go Jags
on that note Coach Nabi's Lady Jags are playing much better ball than thier record would indicate right now. Had a big win vs Lon Morris Wednesday and recently took TVCC to OT on the road before falling.
Go Lady Jags

Jacksonville finished off Bossier Parrish on Wednesday night and then went on to get a huge win over #8 Tyler Junior College. They are still atop the conference at 9-1 and will play TVCC on Wednesday night 7:00 at Curtis Carrol Fieldhouse.

The Jags season came to an end today. Hats off to Navarro they played a great game. It was a fantastic season for Coach Greg Young and his Jags. The Jags will say goodbye to some major parts Daryl Ashford, Kenny Franklin, Dashon Burino, and Brian Sanders, but have a wealth of talent returning next year.
Coach Lynn Nabi and the Lady jags have a 1pm date with TVCC in the semis in the womens side... Go Lady Jags
Now I am going to vent on the officiating... The officials may not have cost us our game today, The Jags certainly did not play thier best game, but they sure did not help. We have watched several games all season and in this tourny and the officials have been consistant... consistantly bad. It is a shame we can not get better officials all around. There is great basketball being played in region 14. It is safe to say the quality of the officiating crews does not measure up to the quality of hoops being put on the floor by every team in the confrence. This is not just true in JC games but in every game I have witnessed this weekend, and through out the season.

I have to agree with you. The officiating has been dreadful in the tournament and throughout the entire season.
They were freaking awful in the Navarro-Lon Morris game yesterday and were calling fouls on just ticky-tack stuff in the second half. I'm sorry, but when you're officiating a Region 14 semifinal game, you have to LET THEM PLAY!
On a side note, Navarro guard DeAndre Brown absolutely carried his team to that win and sealed it with a three pointer at the buzzer from a spot on the court that was closer to the timeline than the three point line.

I agree with you the kids fro navarro are having a great tourny. I left that game early because my wife was feeling ill. I have the game on the computer now. Navarro Paris. The officiating was the worst I have seen this year. There is most likely no chance of it improving since there is little or no accountability for them. It is a shame because I honestly believe that the Region 14 is one of the top NJCAA confrences in the country.
I saw the video of that shot. wish I would have stayed.
