If you have a basic knowledge of the game and are reliable, punctual, even-tempered and service oriented, you might consider joining the ranks of officiating. It's an opportunity for you to give back and contribute to the athletes of Texas while earning supplemental income.
Excellent training is provided. Our chapter training begins in early May, so you need to make contact on or before May 1, 2009. Our service area is East Texas (Tyler, Longview, Nacogdoches, Van, Carthage, etc). If you happen to live out of our service area, we'll try to point you in the right direction for a chapter near you. Varsity matches are based on gross gate receipts; however, base rate is $35 per match. Sub-Varsity matches are $25 each. Match fees and mileage reimbursment are set by the UIL's 1204. Happy to give you more information. Please contact at president@lvoa.net Thanks
