As of now, Muddogs are like 9-0 and unscored on in district. Nice, very nice!!!!!

Coach Lo is the brains behind the machine and the players are the strength.

Pine Tree is a hard place to coach soccer because "everybody" is coach.

Leave coach Lo alone and let him do his thing.

Parents, keep sticking you nose in "his" business and the team will crumble like the Cowboys.

Way to go Pirates. Good luck with the rest of the season!!!!!

Great job Coach Lo!!!!!!!!!!!

Not sure what this is all about, but for those of you who know Coach Lo...if you can imagine hearing his voice and accent... GOT IT? biggrin.gif Good man Coach Lo. Good man.

Jacksonville should try to get Lawless back.
bulaman
I think Lawless is content with his spot at Lindale. Wouldn't you be?
toohottohandle
lawdog was lucky and i wouldnt want to come back and coach the indians if i was him. Pt enjoy your time because eagles are coming soon and your season will end.

One game at a time toohot.
tiger19
Pinetree winning 3-1 to texas high.
HawkEye
Not seen Lindale, but they won 3-1 over Pittsburg. If Pittsburg gave them that much, and after what I saw Pine Tree do at Texas High, I'd say that Pine Tree and Lindale would be a better matchup than I originally thought. PT was impressive. They had good size in the back, speed all over, and good control throughout the match.
Should PT and Lindale match up, that'd be worth the ticket to see.

Thanks toohottohandle, seems PT is enjoying their time now and will continue as they make a brief stop in Lindale for a warm up game on their way to state. See ya soon. cool.gif

If they view Lindale as a warm-up game for state, they better watch out.

BTW - it's not about getting to state, it's about winning state. thumbsup.gif

Was just joking about Lindale being a "warm up". Should be a good game. As far as "it's not about getting to state, it's about winning state", you are right. I was only referring to the road leading to state as PT leaves Lindale behind. Obviously PT will win state. homer.gif

Pinetree vs. Lindale would be a very good game, but lets not get to hasty now, Pinetree still has to play a very physical Kilgore team, which i think Pinetree can beat so long as they play their game. Then they have to play the winner of Corsicana and North Dallas, which will challenge them more than anyone they have seen recently. Lindale, also has a tough Mt. Pleasant team to play, then granted they get through, they will still have to beat Adamson or Wilson in order for a match up with Pinetree to occur. So it's still a bit early to be thinking about the Regional Semi's.

Yes, it's still early but can't help but look into the future. Hmmm......crystal ball says... clap.gif

Yeah, i hope more than anything that that match up occurs, so we can finally put this Pinetree Lindale demon to rest!

Didnt Pinetree already beat North Dallas? I do know that Longview beat Wilson earlier in the year 3-1. Thus, Lindale or Mt.Pleasant shouldnt have any trouble with Wilson.

After seeing both teams this week, I think Pine Tree will easily handle Kilgore. TOo much size, speed, and fundamentals.

to be completely honest i dont remember if it was north dallas or lake dallas. there are so many dallas teams that i cant keep up with them all. but i think it was north dallas

loobboo
Lindale won't destroy Mt. Pleasant, it will be close and I wouldn't be one bit surprised if Mt.Pleasant won that and then went on to beat PT. All 3 of them are pretty evenly matched.
Youngbuck6
I'm pretty sure we played both Lake Dallas and North Dallas. and i think we beat both of them and North Dallas 3-0. and Lindale won't be a warm up game. i play with the twins on Texas Titans and they will be ready to play against us for bragging rights. and Flash as always will play good as last years district mvp.

I've not seen Pinetree play this year so i'm sure they have Outstanding players as well, but you, having played with the Shipmans, can vouch that they are INCREDIBLE soccer players, it's amazing what they do when they get the ball. Any team is going to have a tough time with them, along with "Flash", who i assume is Norris. So I can't wait to see if this dream match-up will occur; I know it will have to be an amazing game. Good Luck to both teams all the way to the semi's!
ptdsoccer16
the twins play completely different clubwise then they do high school.
soccerguru
Don't know what you meant by that other than in school ball the twins excel and are standouts but in club they are evenly matched with other club talents - not near the standouts. Flash (Norris) on the other hand is even a stand out on his club team.
twotouches
okay guru, how many of these teams have 3 STUD CLUB players on their team? Just because they play club doesn't mean they are STUDS but these guys are STUDS. Lindale folks saw these kids coming and knew they would be a force several years ago. 3 STUDS and all these other kids that play outside of the program. All these kids hard work over the years is paying off.

Everybody take a deep breath and let the matches be played out. If Lindale and PT end up playing each other in the regional finals, what a great moment for ET soccer...Club, high school or otherwise!
twotouches
Hey old man (sjones), not sure how they would play in the finals. That would be a nice trick and for sure give us an East Texas representative. Pt won't be in the semi's and Lindale will beat any team that gets in their way.
cesarsoccer
I've had the opportunity to see both teams play this year and feel like PT is the better of the two. They are both great teams, however Pine Tree seemed more solid from top to bottom. I thought Lindale looked a little suspect in the back the game I saw (of course it was only one game).

I would love to see this game if they both get that far. PT is solid and imposing in the back with their size and skill while Lindale has the 2 kids up top (#23, #29) that rival any 2 forwards in the state. I think it would be a great match-up.

As far as the chances of this game taking place... I think PT has a much easier road against Kilgore and 'Cana/N. Dallas whereas Lindale will have to beat MP and Woodrow Wilson which are both extremely talented teams. Bottom line...this game is a long way away!
loobboo
Mount Pleasant and Lindale will be a very close game. Wilson is not very good, Longview played them and beat them 3-1 and Id also say that was one of Longviews worst played games of the season. Wilson is not athletic and does not have very good skill. Not trying to completely rag on Wilson but Lindale will not have any bit of a challenge against them.

there whole attitude toward the game is what i meant. i have talked to other guys on our club team that have played against them in high school and i remember playing against them last year. in club they are great. you can tell that they really do love playing soccer and no matter the score they want to play, as oppose to high school where they play but constantly want to complain about things. im not meaning to put them down in the least cause ya they are both amazing soccer players but theres a difference between high school and club.. but then again i guess its like that for everyone.

There is no way Pt can beat Lindale. This team is going to state and will take care of any team that gets in their way. It will be tough but they will reach the state tourney. MP has no chance. It doesn't matter that they are playing better. They aren't playing well enough.

Jacksonville needs Coach Rogers Back. He lead J'Ville 4 rounds deep 3 years in a row and lost two of those playoff games in a shootout. Nothing against Lawless, but you can't beat Coach Rogers.

The twins fit in on our club team for the most part everybody is about the same referring to skillwise. And Norris is in the shadow of the national player on his team so as far as him sticking out he doesn't but he is a good player. so before you talk know what your talking about. and if we play like we did against kilgore we can beat anyone in the state.

Unless you've seen every team in the state play thats a pretty bold statement.......but aside from that, I think some Lindale fans probably had an awakening tonight in their "warm up" game

I don't recall anyonebut maybe toohot or twotouches, calling Mt. Pleasant a Warmup game. The team came prepared for a tough game and a tough game is what they got.

Yes...there was ONE Lindale fan in particular that needed to be removed last night. He kept insulting the referee and in my opinion took away from the pleasure of watching a very good match. Yes, I usually defend the referees but last night was one of the poorest called matches I have seen in a long time. Unlike Toohot or twotouches, I can admit i made a mistake. And the officials last night gave teeth to some of the posts on here about the quality of officiating. I still don't appreciate ANY fans screaming insults at the officials. It is not a hooligan sport.

How many times have we heard this? I thought you wanted us to make to play Lindale so they could "blow us outta the water". We've played North Dallas but teams change over the course of the season and for all i know they could've had hurt players so I dont know what that team holds for us. All I know is that Pt vs Lindale if it comes about will probably be the best game in East Texas this year. Between Enoch, Elijah, Azakya(spellcheck), Flash, the hispanic defender and Cody L., Chad L, Kulak, Flores, and McCintyre this will be a very offensive game. Both defenses will be busy all night.

I would first like to say congrats to Lindale on a great game last night. Their kids deserve alot of credit for getting through to the next round in a very difficult match. However Lindales crowd really needs to understand that some of the things that they were yelling are not acceptable. Have some class people. I know that Mayfield was very upset about some of the things that were yelled at his kids and yelled about him as well. I watched the film with him today and he plugged in the audio and said listen to this you wont believe the things yelled. And I couldnt believe it! He said he has never been disrespectful to Lindales players or coaches and felt very disrespected by Lindales crowd, Not only him but his kids as well. Your team represents Lindale well on the field, dont take away from the way they are representing by the way you act in the stands!
loobboo
After the first time Longview played PT I thought PT would beat Lindale.....I now think that Lindale will beat PT. 3-1 is my guess at the score. I also think Mt. Pleasant would have beat PT
Eagle88
It was a great match last night. And from the Lindale side, apologies for the "bandwagon". Anyone who follows sports knows that the crowd gets bigger as the rounds go deeper. The incident in question was noted by the administrators on duty and will hopefully be handled. I guess if we had an idiot screener at the gate we could keep them from buying a ticket. Anyway, great job by both sides last night.
toohottohandle
i can understand more fans coming out but why do they have to yell things like that and be so rude to the other players? it took away from the game last night to hear idiots in the stands like that. good game by both and nothing against PT but i just have a feeling you guys wont be there. good luck though

I quess my question is if the administrators on duty noted the situation, why didn't they handle it during the game. Was any fan asked to leave the game?

The fan in question was not asked to leave. Saddens me to see this. I agree with chebeto. Lindale's fans need to show some class.
