How do you reckon its home field advantage for mp? Longview played at Pitt this year as well. So mp played one more time than Longview. Last I heard after the brawl between Pitt and MP the Pitt fans will be cheering on Longview.

Not being familiar with Pittsburgh(texas), do they have grass or artificial turf. (at the stadium where MP and Longview are going to play tonite) Is it real or memorex? Sun has already come out in Dallas, so hopefully weather won't cancel the game.

Pitt n mp are rivals due to how close they live to each other. However I think it is going to be alot like brothers. They might get into it but when someone else messes with your brother your not having it. Point of the post- I think pitt will support mp and their District!

I think you're right. I asked some one if they still thought Longview would beat Mount Pleasant, and he said "No, I know they will."
I don't think he's right, I have not seen Longview varsity play, but if they beat Mount Pleasant, they will have to earn it. If they have size like Pine Tree, they may just be physical enough to do it.

Disagree. While the Pilgrim Pride factor makes the Pitt/MP game intense, the Pitt players were cheering for MP against Texas High. Part of that was they needed MP to win, but I think there is a bond.

Lobos lose 2-0 in a hard fought battle....MP was much improved since the beginning of the season and stand a very good chance of taking down Lindale.

I think that this will be a great game. I would expect cards to be a flying left and right. Both teams have
a couple of hot heads, MP definately has more but could be one of the better playoff games this year.

How good are the Mount Pleasant Girls? I have seen Lindale but not MP this year.

this is the first time in 3 years i have not been able to keep a very good watch on MP soccer team...mostly due to work. but with the exception of the '06 season, this is the first time mp has moved past the first round in awhile, i do believe.

from what you see right now, you can only expect more in the upcoming seasons...i believe there are only 3 seniors on this tiger team...many sophomores and a couple of freshman that i know of...so this is certainly not one of those "if not this year, then never" type situations...i am thinking mp has what it takes to beat lindale, but from what i hear, they will have to come with their guns loaded, ready to fire to do so.

Girls have improved since Mayfield has started helping with the team, but I think Lindale fairly easily in this game.

Should be a good game. Both teams won their district, and Mt. Pleasant beat Lindale earlier in the year 3-1 (Longview Tournament). Both teams will do their best. Hope for decent weather and a clean, fair match.

lindale girls will win. that was a long time ago. lady eagles are a lot better right now.
