Longview Girls take on Waxahachie in Eustace at 7:00.

It's a bit of a drive if your coming from the Longview Area but anyone who was at their game friday will tell you its worth it. They're alot of fun to watch and have been playing really well! Come show support!

Next year when they get those JV club players, I see them going all the way.

Not so fast my friend. It's true that Longview's JV was undefeated (against JV Opponents) and that they have 4 very talented club players that should move up next year. But, all the way? Well maybe. But don't forget that this year's team will graduate 5 impact players and next year's team though it will certainly be talented will be extremely young and will likely start 7 or 8 sophomores. I fully believe next years group will be very good, and that another District Title is not out of the question, but a run to state, while possible, is unlikely. So let's take a step back and cheer on this year's awesome group of ladies, who by the way still have a chance to go all the way.

Go Lady LOBOS

20-3-3 and hopefully more wins on the way.

The Lady Lobo girls soccer team will be have a great chance at going all the way. Yes they did lose 5 excellent seniors, but your forgetting the many club players that were on the varsity team. With the returning players and the club players on JV coming up, they will have almost a full starting team of club players who play for the 2nd best Sting '94 team in Texas. With their drive and skill, they will definately have a good chance at State and I'm sure they will prove many doubters wrong.

As someone who has a daughter on the team, let me give my take next season. The Lady Lobos could be very good. The ingredients are in place, but in my opinion, still about a year away from being a title contender. The 5 seniors will be tough to replace. The leadership and ability really showed. The girls that will be moving up are more than capable but will need time to gel with the returning starters. There is a freshman that made the Sting 94 team that is as fast as any girl i've seen, so she could be a factor on varsity.
Also Coach Yoder has stepped up the level of competition in pre-district by scheduling Highland Park, Austin Lake Travis, Waco Midway, Wichita Ryder, Waxahachie, and Red Oak. Also the Lady Lobo tournament should offer stiff competition with Tyler Lee included this year.
The pre-district schedule will be awesome, giving the girls a chance to play the best. Their record could be deceiving entering district play, but they should be prepared to make a deep run again.
Go Lady Lobos and good luck to all.
