I am going to have to go with Lindale 2-1 ,after the MP game I think they got a reality check.
This game is up for grabs....Who wants it more?

Don't know if it means anything, but all the times for the games at the Regional tournaments have been removed from the UIL website.

i think the first game on friday iz at 1, but im not exactly sure

Pt has no chance against the speed

Seems to be quite a difference of opinion regarding which team has more speed. It's not a track meet though.

No prediction on the winner, I just wish they were playing closer to home. Thanks, UIL for establishing the regional site at the furthest corner of the region! Oh well, I'd rather drive there than live there ...

Your right toohottohandle, PT does reguire a larger size jock. We grows them big here in Pine Tree, so Lindale better put on some "big boy" shorts and be ready.

This is an intense subject.....and the only people who can talk about speed are the ones who have seen both of these teams play. All the rest of us should just make predictions because most people have just heard and think that their team is the best ever. I think our team is very very good but I am just making predictions. 2-1 Lindale

my prediction is Lindale 3-2

This game isn't gonna come down to speed, or skill. These two team are very strong, both have tons of talent. The winner of this game is gonna come down to who wants it the most. And i have a very strong feeling that who ever wins this game, has a very very good chance at coming out with that state title.

I totally agree with "bulaman." and it's real hard to predict a score with both of these teams being so equal in skill and speed. It will definately come down to who is more consistent and determined to win. I know Lindale has a ton of heart and wants this for our school soo bad to go to state and bring home that title but they have to take it one game at a time and step it up a notch and surpass our potential. Pinetree i'm sure has heart too, expeciallyat this level, heck everyone does.

Alright, for all you Pine Tree players. I have broken my silence. Toohot and twotouches are sturring the pot. All they are doing is trying to motivate you guys which you shouldn't need at this stage of the playoffs. Everyones motivation now is to try to make it to state. My guys respect Pine Tree and will prepare that way. It should be a great game so good luck to both Teams!!! Hopefully and ET team will represent Region II in State.

In some ways I'm hoping for a very decisive victory by one team or the other. Maybe that will prevent the endless posting about "my team would have won except for": poor officiating, lousy weather, bad field conditions, dirty play, bad luck, dumb coaching, unruly fans, etc., etc.

On second thought, nothing will prevent that ...

I think both Pine Tree and Lindale will play great. Think it will be an awesome match that shows the metroplex that East Texas can ball. I think its great that regardless of the outcome a ET team will represent in the regional final! That has been a trend lately as 3 ET teams have qualified for the state tournament and others playn in regional finals! There is no doubt that the gap has been closed between ET and the metroplex. I also think that it is imporatant to stay focused and not get caught up in the excitement. 3 ET teams have qualified for the state tournament but none have won at the semi's with only MP playn a close match! Emotions will be high and the winning team will have to come back to earth quick for the next match!

Whats great is that we will represent on both the girls and boys in the regional finals.

Its amazing how Toohot gets on here and lies. I said nothing of the kind to anyone about PT not scoring. Everyone now sees how you are. Your nice and act like you like Lindale and talk good about us and as soon as I post something you jump on here. Now everyone knows you dont like us so your post are all lies trying to get PT bulletin board material. Toohot, your really the one who needs to grow up. You graduated several years ago!! Its time to move on.

"Toohot", it is not a surprise that you view this matter the way you do, for you have not had the opportunity to consider the matter unbiased from all points of view. For this reason I do hold bad opinion against you for your views, that is to say, your limited views are not your own fault, but a fault of your educators! Coach Lawless has done great things with the Lindale Soccer Team, OBVIOUSLY, and you need to stop dawgin him. You KNOW those things aren't true, just stop it doesn't make you look good either. Coach Lawless wouldn't say that anyway, he KNOWS PT is a very good team and they have a good chance of scoring. I have a lot of respect for him and what he has done and good luck to both Lindale and Pinetree tommorow night, of course I do want Lindale to walk away the victory though. Either way it will be an East Texas team going into that final this weekend! If coach Lawless was immature by the way I don't think he would have had as much success with the program as he has, props to him and the team. No disrespect "Toohot" but think before you speak.

Lindale is a good team and so is PT. I don't think that either team would be to this point if they weren't. Both have speed and decent technical skills. It should be a good game. I think that whichever team comes out with their head on their shoulders will take it. The big thing is composure and passion. Some teams get to this point and just don't play like they wanted. A good example would be Palestine a couple of years ago. They made it to State and got blown away by Frisco; not because Frisco was that much better than them (because they weren't) but because Pal didn't come to play. That's what it's going to come down to and if they both show up everyone's in for a good game. Both coaches have put together teams that have good quality throughout their lineups. PT's coach is quite a technical coach and I look for him to make so adjustments for what Lindale's going to bring. Good Luck to both teams.

Well written post LINDALEFAN. Not sure who toohottohandle really is or if he has any facts to back up what he posts but I do know it only makes him look bad by posting/attacking that way. Should be a great game and I cant wait. Of coarse I see PT Muddogs coming out with the victory. I will stick with my original prediction of PT=3 and Lindale=1

Frisco was that much better than them IMO.

so I guess woody that Frisco was that much better then everyone else in region 3? Frisco was that much better then brenham because pal did beat brenham 1-0. I believe PT got smacked by the same score to brenham many years ago, do you think PT was really that much worse then brenham? sometimes when the boulder starts rolling down the hill you can't stop the dang thing.

Frisco was the better team but I was there. Pal did not come to play. Both teams made it to state that year for a reason. Pal just got swept away by their nerves and choked. Anyways, back to the topic, Good Luck to PT and Lindale

Yes, Frisco was better than everyone in region 3 that year. And yes, Brenham was that much better than PT also.

'toohott'....i dont see how on earth coach lawless iz a terrible and immature coach. He haz hiz momentz where he messez around wit guyz on the team, but that called bein "friendly".....sumthin u need to learn about.
Seriously, how iz he a bad coach? The Lindale Eaglez were a horrible team, and got lucky to finish district wit more than 1 win....First year he came, we went 20-4-1. Lost in the 3rd round to Brehnam 2-1. Second year he wuz in Lindale, 25-0-1!!!! How iz that a bad coach, plz tell me

when he was at jack we had great players and we could never win any big games. he never had fair discipline either. a lot of players didnt respect him. i was told the same thing at athens. good teams with good players coming in but would always lose in the 2nd round or maybe win one playoff game. we always never did as good because he wasn't that good as a coach.

lindale was getting so much better before he got there and actually played real well the first yar before he got there cowboy. that dude before him got the program going.

anyone that has 3 shipman boys and flash is going to be good. my grandma could coach that team. GREAT CLUB COACHING has put this team over the top. these guys were great before lawdog even saw these guys.

Alot of the players at Lindale have been playing for years. Many of
them play outside of high school which is wonderful experience for
most high school athletes. It helps them to grow as players and get
much quicker and be able to anticipate the game. Yes the Eagles
have had an outstanding season and have done very well in district
play the last 2 years BUT most of that team would be playing soccer
and be playing the same calibur if any coach was there. The fact is
that the guys are just good players. Yes a great coach can make you
better but you must be able to go out on the field and get it done which
is exactly what those young boys have done. Don't worry about what
people think. Who cares who hates your coach? In the end it doesn't
