I guess I needed you to finish the job for us..................

As a former player and current coach and state referee I would have to say there are 3 main parts for winning "the big one".
1. Quality players, who are coachable and willing to make sacrifices for the good of the team.
2. Good coaching. i.e. someone who can get the players to work together and play as one. Someone who can put players in positions to be successful and to benifit the team as a whole.
3. Probably the most important is a little bit of luck. It doesn't matter how good a team is on paper, when you get into the playoffs you need a little bit of luck on your side. Look at Mckinney the last two years. On paper and in the games I've seen...easily the class of 4A boys soccer, but very unlucky.
Now having seen the cubs play last year, I can definately say they have 1 and 2, but 3 has seemed to be with their last opponent.
And sorry to have to say this Coach, but toohot probably couldn't carry your water. Now I could be wrong, but people who run their mouths a lot usually can't do much else. Just sayin'
