The District 32-4A coaches had the honors laid out for them so they would not have to
think and still managed to fuzzle a few selections up(may be political ?)
1.Pine Tree and Longview soccer was a world ahead of the rest of the district so they should
have dominated the honors as PT did. Good job on the obvious!
2.No one on a last place Hallsville team should have been selected over a PT player or a Lobo
player for 1st team anything and surely not given a Superlative award. No player on that Bobcat
team would start on PT or Lobo team. I think the Bobcats were 0for23 in the scoring column against
the 2.
3. Trying to be politcal you shafted some good players:
Senior Guillermo Torres-Longview\ One of the top forwards in the district always a threat to score
or set up a score. Second team
Junior Cody Dobbs-PT Lock down fullback. His side was not scored on the whole year. Second
team
Sophomore Breynon Henderson-PT- TRUE "Sophomore of the Year" Dominated the middle all the
way through the State Regional Semifinals. No doubt should
have been sophomore of the year.

My only response is that Guillermo didnt play a game until Feb. 8th. He is an unbelievable player that is off to Pachuca this summer and will either be playing for U20 USA or U18 Mexico. Last year he got 1st team in 5a so he understands. Lets hope that Coaches vote for him for All Region and he can get his recognition.

i think that the twins and one of the defenders from hallsville could get a spot on PT or longview. yeah i dont know how somebody on a last place team got one of the main district awards. a PT player should have got every one of the main district awards. they dominated everyone!!!

Yeah they really dominated LV in that game where it was 0-0 untill 9 minutes left when they scored on a PK........or Henderson when they went into OT, but I have to say LV will be the favorite next year they are only losing 3 starters

Everyone that knows Soccer in east texas knows Torres. Not playing a game unitl Feb.8 is not
an excuse for the ignorance of these coaches.
Breynon Henderson was by far the Top Sophomore in this district. Breynon does not fit the profile
of a soccer player so he will continue to get shafted. His best bet is to transfer to Longview and
stick to football.

Breynon has a brother playing for Andromeda in Dallas that will be playing for PT next year.
I doubt he will transfer to Longview to play football with his brother playing soccer for PT.
However, I do agree with the rest of what you said.

Tiger 19, district did not start until Feb. 10th so he played through district.
Torres should not have been put on second team behind a freshman from
A last place hallsville team.
If the hallsville freshman had the production that Torres had I would agree.
Torres was way more of an impact player.

The twins don't get any recognition they deserve. Daniel got honorable mention his sophmore year, junior year and now his senior year. This year was probably his best. He started off playing forward, center mid and outside mid for the first half of district. Then his brother david got diaganosed with chrones disease. He lost 20 pounds in 3 months. Daniel came back to defense to take his brothers position and play sweeper. He did a great job for never playing sweeper. He played every position for hallsville this year and got no recognition.

Maybe he means dominated by going 10-0 in district and holding the second placeLobos SCORELESS twice.
He may also mean Dominated by not being scored on throughout district play until the very last game after clinching the District title and are resting your starters for the playoffs.
That is the way I understood him.

I agree with this. The twins are good players but did not deserve 1st team by any means, and probably not 2nd either. Ptdsoccer16 is right they let their attitudes prevent them from playing as well as they could.

As a matter of fact I was at the first game when PT beat you 2-0 and the second game when they
beat you 1-0. The only game you want to talk about is the second one and bring up that lame PK
story with 9 minutes left. With 9 minutes left there is plenty of time to score. Why didnt they? The
first game should have been 5-0 instead of 2-0.
Some players on the Henderson team told me that PT scored 2 goals on them in 12 minutes and Coach
Lo pulled most of the starters and right before the end of the game Henderson scored two quick goals
to tie the game. In OT PT put a few more starters in PT scored making it 3-2 GAME OVER. Most starters rested that game since the district title was locked up.
I was also at the Lobo game when Lindale beat them 4-1. The score should have been worse.

I mean I know that PT won their district and had
an awesome season but they can't win every single
award. Every coach nominates who they want to put
up for each award. Maybe some coaches didn't nominate
those who YOU thought should win. No it doesn't really
matter now because it is over and done with but it's not
like winning those awards change your life. Give me a
break!
