As I was so politely reminded first thing this morning

, my beloved SPURS are down in the series 1 - 0. I will admit that my boys look like I feel - old, tired, and worn out.... Even though Dirk looked
okay..., I still hold onto the belief that anything can happen and usually does - hopefully, Dirk will choke.
CONGRATULATIONS to all the Mavs fans out there in Smoakydom!

It's still a race to 4 but the Mavs just look a little fresher than the "Injury Riddled" Spurs.
I still think Dallas wins this one in six.
I don't see the Mavs getting past the next round though.

Poor OLD spurs. LOL
Dallas will take this one pretty easily, they are peaking at the right time. And about the comments on Dirk, when other players step up it can and will negate any subpar performances by the superstar. I'll count on the rest of the boys being there to pull it through.

dallas can win in the playoffs until they face the lakers. whether that means the next round or the conference finals. i'm not saying dallas will make it to the conference finals, i'm just saying they have the ability to beat everyone in the west except the lakers.

I agree with that. They are talented enough to reach the conference finals and then you never know what could happen. Maybe Kobe sprains an ankle. For the first time in a long time Dallas is playing a little defense, not much, but even a little gives them a chance to win against any team but the Lakers and the Cavs. Howard's ankle needs to hold up though. If Dallas plays like they are capable of playing they sweep the Spurs. That said I think they win in 6. I think Denver will give Dallas fits though.

The Mavs should be thankful they got one win on the road. They are a terrible road team, especially in the playoffs. They're going to have to win at home to win this series.

Congratulations, Mavs and fans, on the W in Game 4.LV, you're a class act and the Spurs have been as well for the last decade (except for Bruce Bowen). I can only hope my Mavericks will have as much success as the Spurs have had in their history. I admire the Spurs as much as any team in any sport on the planet. Their success is quite amazing and I love the Spurs being the Mavs' biggest rival. I love to dislike the Spurs, because I want my Mavs to one day reach their level of success.

New Orleans definitely gave up - no fight in them whatsoever.
Yes, tonight will be a sad night on the RiverWalk - but that's okay. This city bounces back like nothing I've ever seen. The fans will still wave their banners from the hotel balconies and cars. It's an amazing show of support whether the team wins or loses ... It's a lot more fun when they win, of couse.
To all the Mavs fans - Boo ... Hisssssss ....
Just kidding - whether you win tonight or not - I don't see the SPURS winning them all. Let's just get it over with and put all of us SPURS fans out of our misery. Good luck with the next series ...

four more O'Brien trohpies than...........
Anyway, I'll be pulling for the Mavs in the Western Conference. I'm not big on Denver, and I hate the Lakers.
