Didier Drogba - best striker in the world.

It should have been Man U vs. Chelsea, but Ferguson decided to put his youngsters in and they barely lost in Pks! I think Chelsea should take this one though! Tim Howard will keep close, i think, but not close enough! as far as Drogba being the best striker, i think He is at the moment!

Deisel, I have really only recently started watching the EPL and Chelsea. I love it!!!! I have a friend who introduced me to soccer and asked me to come watch his favorite team, Chelsea, at his house. I fell in love with Didier Drogba as soon as I started watching and have fallen in love with Chelsea. I am going to watch Chelsea at Jerry World this summer play the Mexican team based I guess America, because they call them America.

At the moment I would think Drogba is or very close to the very best striker in the world. I love his knee slide after making a big goal.

I wonder if Hiddink will rest some of his top players for the EPL and the next CL match.

Not to pick nits, but the best in the world? I am a Chelsea fan, as well, but I don't think he's the best. He may have as much athletic ability as any striker out there, but I think there are several better. For example, I would take a healthy Wayne Rooney over him, and C. Ronaldo, who oftentimes plays outside but is effectively a forward, is truly amazing (a flopper, but aren't they all).

And, as an aside, for all the talent on that team, there is 1 guy who makes it go - Frank Lampard.

Drogba Is A BIG BABY!!! All he does is Whine. He threaten to leave Chelsea cuz he wasnt getting enough Playing Time. Even though he was a want a be one Man Band... He made Peter Crouch look Good. Frank Lampard is a good player for Chelsea and that's it. For England, He must not get paid enough. I think the best striker in EPL is Fernando Torres and Wayne Rooney. Best All around Player in the EPL falls between Ballack and C.Ronaldo. Best Defender Rio Ferdinand Hands Down. Best Keeper Van De Sar.

Couldn't agree more about Drogba, though when he wants to play (which is nowhere near enough), he is terrific. I, too, would take Rooney or Torres and might even take Adebayor as the top strikers, and certainly would take them above Drogba. C. Ronaldo is probably the most talented, but his absurd amount of flopping, in a league with an alarming amount of it, really detracts from his overalll game. I would take Lampard (who is a stud and really is the engine that makes Chelsea go - whether or not he plays great for jolly old England or not) or Garrard ahead of Ballack (who is still a wonderful player, no doubt), and all 3 are better total players than Ronaldo, who doesn't defend much at all. Hard to argue against Ferdinand and Van De Sar (tho Tim Howard is getting closer and closer).

I still love Drogba and hopefully he'll be able to help them win the FA Cup and the CL. Huge CL game on Tuesday night!

If anyone watched the Man u vs Tottenham game its explainable why Rooney and C.Ronaldo are two of the best players in the EPL. 2-0 down and came back to win 5-2

Michael Ballack has been a major disappointment for Chelsea, if Chelsea got half of what they expected out of him they would be the best team in the world.

put it like this, on paper, chelsea has arguably the best team in the world! but in reality that is not the case because of players underperforming for their abilities!

if drogba does against everton what he did against barcelona... chelsea is in trouble. marquez gave him a perfect threw ball off a bad back pass and he shot it right at valdez. he needs to finish his 1v1 and capitalize on the other teams mistakes if they want to win. having said that.. i still take chelsea to win in a close one.

The whole time I've been watching Chelsea that was the worst shot on goal I've ever seen Drogba take. He should've hit low and to the left post.

The game is being played at Jerry World!!!!!!! I cannot wait to go to that one. Hopefully the U.S. can make a game of it.

Well, it's really not the US as it is a Mexican team based in America. I am going to be there wearing my Chelsea gear and rooting for the Bison and the rest of the Blues.

Oh I guess i heard wrong. Oh well I am not going to miss a game like this. So does anyone know the roster on this Mexican based team.
