What are you loooking for out of this? They choose fishing teams just like they would any other team and then hold regional competitions eventually putting the best with the best for a championship match. You can watch these team go head to head on ESPN outdoors and on Versus channels. They have some pretty good talent in some of these schools. Texas A&M and UT have really good teams. Of course they rival with Oklahoma in most of the matches.
P.S. just email one of the Admin and they can fix your title for you!

As I understand it, it's no different than any regular fishing tournament.

What i'm trying to find out is; do they fall under the ncaa or something like that? Do they get scholarships, do the universities have coaches etc? That is what I am trying to ask.

I don't think it falls under NCAA, and I'm SURE schools are not giving out fishing scholarships.

Now Five0 you and I both know that if you were that good of a fisherman you would be pulling a boat for a living instead of instead of driving sparkling cars. The Catfish tournaments really seem to be taking off!

Yes - there are scholarships. You better request your application.
This is no "fishing story".

It's not a lake or a farm pond. Let's just call it a micro-reservoir.

Those little impoundments like that can be excellent places to catch some great fish!
