The Rockets beat the Lakers last night 100-92. Playing solid basketball right now. Hope they continue to "shock" what most feel will happen.

Great game by the Rockets. They match up well with the Lakers.

I hope to see a Mavs- Rockets Western Final but I ain't bettin on it.

I wish Artest would've just popped Kobe in the face... the Lakers are just a bunch of goons and Bryant and Phil Jackson are the ring leaders

What a mess tonight, fun to watch though. This series is going to be really fun to watch! thumbsup.gif

I agree. Just how many times did the lead change??? At least the Rockets are going to give them a race to the finish - not this 2 game deficit that the mavs are facing.

GO, ROCKETS!!!

Question is, will there be any suspensions from all that went down. League VP Stu Jackson was reportedly at the game and went back to New York afterward to review all incidents. Did not see game, but sounds like Kobe and Fisher both could be facing suspensions. Should both? Yes. Will both? Probably not. Fisher will get fined and suspended for 1 game, while Kobe most likely will get a fine of an unmeaningful amount. The league does not suspend its superstars. I know Howard was suspended earlier, but he is a young susperstar. I should say that established superstars, as a rule, do not get suspended, especially in the playoffs. I hope I am proved wrong, and Kobe gets suspended. If Artest was the guilty party, then he would be suspended for 2 games most likely. I know past history comes into these types of situations.

Just a side note, completely unrelated, how many feel that the Stern and league execs. are drooling to have a Lakers-Cavs finals. Just a thought.

Include media in your list. If you had a poll, I'd have to vote a definite YES. Of course, I figured that's how it would end up, too. And I would root for the Cavs!

Wish I had seen the rest of the game. I could tell when I turned it off that things were tense, but wouldn't have guessed that it would result in possible fines and suspensions. What actually happened?

It was reported that Kobe put an elbow into Artest's chest just above the "R" on his jersey. Later, Fisher was issued a Flagrant 2 foul. Again, I did not see the game, but apparently this has been a physical first 2 games. I would guess that the next game may be called rather closely. Go Rockets!!!

How about the Rockets without Yao. They blow the Lakers out today, the score was closer then the game was.
ETBU89
I think the Lakers, along with most of the NBA nation, are stunned! Momentum belongs to the Rockets.

Hmmm... what will they do with it?

I don't like it that the media refuses to give credit for the Rockets playing good basketball. It's always, "Well the Lakers laid an egg tonight" or, "The Lakers got some bad breaks and just had an off night." Face it, ESPN- the Rockets outplayed the Lakers (without Yao, also) for 48 minutes for the second time in this series. Taking away from Houston playing good basketball is a heaping pile of censored.gif and I'm tired of listening to it on the sports channels.

Couldn't have said it better myself! Good post, Scalpem! thumbsup.gif

I sure hope that the Rockets can hold this momentum and send the Lakers packing......I haven't watched much basketball in years, but I thoroughly enjoyed that game yesterday.....
ETBU89
Oh, well. Good try. Maybe they wore the Lakers down ... Go Nuggets!!!!! rolleyes.gif

Very happy with the Rockets. Taking it to 7 when nobody gave them a chance was great.

they were only speaking the truth...the reason kobe elbowed artest, the reason fisher nail scola is because they are frustrated. they know they are too good to be getting pushed around by these guys. they were layin eggs...big ones.

you can bet on this though...denver is faster, more athletic, higher scoring, more physical, and has more floor leadership than any team LA has faced this post season. no one will be surprised if denver rolls through LA in 6 or 7
