Fold = WOW!
LoboFan07
From what I've heard there's 2 groups of 4 (one local, one non) that have interest in the group.

Here's the latest article from the Shreveport Times....

Update: http://www.shreveporttimes.com/article/200.../905150338/1033

QUOTE
Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs owner John Madden is actively meeting with prospective buyers for his Central Hockey League team. Madden met with about eight people representing three local groups at a closed-door meeting Thursday night at the CenturyTel Center. This was the first time he met interested parties in person. Madden said he is "cautiously optimistic."

Keep crossin your fingers!

Today was the prior deadlined, but I do believe it's been pushed to June 1st or 2nd or something along that lines.

KTAL is reporting that an announcement of the Mudbugs being sold and continuing their stay in the CHL for the 09-10 season could be announced as early as Wednesday.

Looking good for now....but keep those fingers crossed.

Update today, kinda...

QUOTE
Eight days remain before a deadline that could finish off the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs and rumors have been the only sign of life as owner John Madden looks to unload his hockey organization.

That could change today.

General manager Ray Delia has been told by a potential (local) ownership group to expect an offer “shortly” after Memorial Day. Delia says it could come as soon as today.

UPDATE. Mudbugs received offer.

QUOTE
The first offer to purchase the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs was put into owner John Madden’s hands today. Mudbugs general manager Ray Delia believes it may be the start of a busy week.

“We’re expecting a second offer relatively quickly and potentially a third by the end of the week,” he said.

Delia would not go into detail about today's bid.

So what's the updated news?????
LoboFan07
Supposedly......the Bugs turned down the first offer.

They expected a 2nd offer by the end of the day (that they rejected the first one)....and it didn't come cause the details were being worked out or something.

That was either Wednesday or Thursday.

Muscutt and the rest of the coaching staff were let go today as to preserve money until the details get ironed out.

Your guess is as good as mine if they actually are going to play or not.
Colmesneilfan1
I sure hope everything works out and they stay in the area. I used to keep up with them when I was at Harleton.....
LoboFan07
CHL announced yesterday the deadline of June 16th for 3 CHL teams including the Bugs.

They had also given us deadlines of May something and June 4th, so who knows.

BREAKING NEWS: Mudbugs have received the 2nd offer.

QUOTE
Delia had just received what he called "a well-conceived, well-thoughtout offer that will get the utmost attention," and had it next to him while driving home from work.

Delia is expected to meet with owner John Madden to deliever the offer on Wednesday.
