Who's you pick and WHY.

GOTTA be a homer an go with coach knipp (middleoftheroad) lost alot last year and still made the playoffs in a tuff district.

The Hooks coach!! According to the parents on this board he was the incaranate of Satan and the worst coach of all time!!! To put up with all that garbage and still get girls into the playoff (and win a playoff game!!) My hats off to you...even though I don't have a clue who you are!!!

Just heard that All east Texas will be out sunday and the coach of the year is Comfort from springhill and the mvp is K williams, now they are both good, but just because you go to state should you be coach of the year, now his team was loaded. i think the coach should be the one that does the most with the least. Just my 2 cents.

Not to discredit coach Comfort because he is a fine coach; but he was not selected as the District Coach of the Year (Ritch of Bullard was), so how could he All-Region Coach of the Year.

His team advanced just as far in the state tournment as Elysian Fields did, so if you use that as a measuring stick, then comfort and Smelly should be co-coaches of the year.

stallard has an impossible job. whatever he and his staff come up with, people will complain about it.
comfort and williams had a lot going for them. first state tournament appearance, coming back to win some close games in the playoffs after being down. i think comfort and williams are the right choice. plus, it is the longview paper guys......and spring hill is in longview. i'm not saying that's right, but you have to take that into account. east texas is loaded with outstanding coaching and playing talent.

but blessed has a great point. the hooks coach should get it which all the crud he took and going to the playoffs!! he is the man!!

Doesn't the coach who wins district get Coach of the Year most of the time? The fact that Spring Hill finished 2nd, behind Bullard, and made it to state and Bullard did not should garner him some consideration for Coach of the Year for East Texas. The Spring Hill girls stepped it up come playoff time. Congrats to them and their coach.
