Thanks for listing the Bullard girls in the results, they were skipped over in the Longview paper. That's LNJ for you.

Relax. I doubt if they purposely overlooked Bullard. Their primary focus was probably on the local athletes and teams. Considering it was the first week of football season, let's be glad they covered the event at all.

That coming from someone who's kids achievements were covered I assume. No excuse for it.

Did they skip Canton? They are a whole lot more local than Bullard right? By the way, Bullard and SH....same district. Just saying

Yes, I think old rednblack needs a geography lesson. lol I think that Bullard is more local than Canton. Maybe it's just me, but if you're going to do something do it right. Oh well, it did make it look better for the local runners. I hope the girls use this as motivation to work harder. Both of the top Bullard runners have grandparents who live in Longview/white oak. You relax rednblack!

Both of you are omitting one small, but important detail - Canton WON the meet; boys AND girls. You should expect the winners of an event to be reported - regardless of geography. And surely Bullard was not the only team that was skipped over. Speaking of geography, have you considered checking the Tyler paper for coverage of Bullard athletics?
Does any newspaper have the resources to ensure that they adequately cover the grandchildren of local residents? You're kidding, right?
I suggest doing what is necessary to keep the Bullard girls' names out of the paper the rest of the season. They will be so motivated, they will go all the way to state!

By the way, would Cody Brown from Canton happen to be related to the Greg Brown who also used to run for Canton back in the early 80's?
