I am looking for an 18U select fastpitch team to tryout for this fall. If anyone knows of any teams in the East Texas or Dallas metroplex that are looking for players, please send me an email to smithc9211@yahoo.com

Go to ASA Softball and check out their Bulletin Boards. There is a section for players looking to play and you can choose Texas and also a specific area.

Do you have any contact information on the Travelers team?

I know of an 18u Gold team looking for a pitcher, but they are based out of Tulsa. They have qualified for ASA Gold Nationals the last two years and two of their pitchers will be too old next year. My daughter played with them and we're from Texas. Quality team, quality coach who gets her kids in front of D1 coaches. Oklahoma schools have their fastpitch season in the fall though - although they won't be travelling to fall tournaments, they are having tryouts this fall for next spring and summer. Last summer they travelled to college exposure and qualifier tournaments in NJ, MO, CO, LA, and OK. PM me for contact information.

I have an 18&U team based out of Longview. ( Texas Storm) I am always looking for a good player. I also wind up "picking up" several players each tournament, so I would be happy to have a tryout for your daughter. You can e-mail me with more info ( positions she plays etc.)at texasstormlongview@yahoo.com

Texas Sting is no more, Bob is done and Earl is going back to 16UA. Huddleston's team is a '93 team, and the other two don't play any 18UA or Gold events to get you in front of the coaches you may want to get exposed too. If you don't have a problem with travel, look for a quality organization out of the metro area or houston area to get the exposure.

One of them is a true 94 team who will be playing in all the college looks in the fall which would get you in front of plenty of coaches. I would stay away from the metro teams they come with alot of problems

Texas Storm will be gearing up for all college look tournaments next year (2010) and will only be available to players who are interested and motivated to play college softball. In the past year we have played in about 5 or 6 college look showcases. I do have several 94's on my team but also have some juniors and seniors also. You dont have to go to Dallas area to find a team. You just have to go there to find tournaments.
