Miley Cyrus dancing on a pole at 2009 Teen Choice AwardsThese young ladies are too young to be dressed like this....and society wonders why there are so many teen pregnancies....really??? Come'on??

It looks like she's wearing nothing more than a ripped t-shirt with a bra easily seen beneath......
Watch for the pole part. It begins at around 1:00 minute in and goes through to 1:45.
Maybe I'm being a little judgmental, but quite honestly, I don't care.

It's pretty sad when a young lady gets to a point that she feels she must shed the wholesome persona in order to be more than just a kids' entertainer. She got men to looking and lusting - making comments, positive and negative, but making comments - noticing her as a sex symbol.
Sadly, she will never again be seen as wholesome.

Its true she was dressed kinda risque and I wouldn't let my 19 year old daughter leave the house like that, but I didn't see any real grinding either. It is a little sad that she doesn't seem to be trying to be a role model for younger girls that idolize her.If she wants to break away from that image she should just walk away from the "Hannah Montana" name that has made her and HER dad millions and just become Miley Cyrus and see how that works out.

She has to impress the teens with her looks because she can't sing. Listen to the beginning of the song before all the background music really kicks in. Awful...

Aug 13 2009, 12:06 PM
Hahahaha! I said that exact thing a few months ago. In fact, I asked who ever told that poor child she could sing! Maybe if someone took the clothespin off her nose, it would help. I'm amazed sometimes that it isn't talent and hard work that springs a person to fame and popularity - it is actually having connections and a lot of luck!

Well I wonder how many more millions she could make if she could sing? C'mon man, she doesn't come to your job and throw rocks at you while you blow leaves.
Just kidding with the job comment. I couldn't care less about Cyrus/Montana singing/acting, but she has made some serious money.

I have been telling people that she is just the next Brittney Spears crack head and why people think it is ok for thier kids to idolize/worship her is beond me.
Ironic side note.

I was driving a church bus full of elementry age girls to a church camp and one of the mothers wanted me to play a hannah montana cd. I said no, and the momma was cool about it, the kids had a good time ,learned a lil bit about The Book of Daniel and ten got saved.

i didn't see anything in the video that looked like she was trying to grind into the pole or do a strip-tease. i did see a 16 year old girl who was dressed up like a high end hooker that has a marginal voice and a heck of a production team.
i don't like it...not my kind of music....sure as heck wouldn't let my daughter do that or act like that....but.....i've seen 16 year old girls at wal-mart dressed worse and acting worse on a friday night than that.

I've gone back and looked at the video.
While there may have not been any "real grinding" that's not really the point, is it? The point is that she was dressed provacatively. In a manor, that provokes lustful thoughts. She is a cute young lady, but she doesn't need to dress that way to prove that. She could've dressed a little more conservatively and still had a great performance!! In what few times I've seen her she does dress more conservative than what she was for this awards show. She just finally sucumbed to the pressure of the music industry and did what she was probably told/suggested to do by her agent.

When you lie with dogs you get fleas. That's where this chick is headed. You think she's hot, she's young, and she has to resort to topless bar dancing to sell albums. You have got to be kidding me.

When you see a girl in the trailer park, you have to call them like you see them. I'm not saying all girls that were raised in trailer parks are like that. I've met many that were adorable, and a many that weren't.
I don't mind being criticized or questioned. I realize this should be a PG-13 type forum. I think that's why I like the Samantha Baker, Julie Richman, Jan Morrow, completely fascinated by Ms. Scarlett O'Hara, and well Carrie :
Bandit: [commenting on Carrie's legs] Cowboys love fat calves.
Carrie: They're not fat!
Bandit: Well, they're bigger then mine.
Carrie: Do we really wanna talk about legs?
Bandit: Well, one of us wants to.

I know how to fight fire with fire, don't worry about me. If these boys want to defend Hannah Cyrus, hey more power to them. I'm not about to defend her music or her act, it's as bad as her dad's was, and she's not a looker.
I hate the entire genre that her daddy and she gives us. It's not music, I want to puke everytime I hear both or see both of them. They created their lifestyle. I still don't understand why she is so great, and she's proving it. I didn't understand why people bought her daddies music. The fruit doesn't fall far from the tree.

The only time I think it is ok for a lady to dress a little provacatively in public is Halloween. I said a lady, not a 16-year-old girl.
