Pine Tree (5-0 overall, 3-0 district) d. Gladewater (12-7) and Longview (11-8) to win the Longview Tournament (9/19).

Congrats. I saw the article in the LNJ on the PT win over Longview. I thought Longview's #1 boy was a freshman this year. Did he play yall at the tournament at a different spot? That was also pretty impressive how the PT freshman girl played Longview's #1, taking her to a 3rd set tiebreaker. Do yall play any other strong teams besides Texas High before regionals?

Longview's #1 boy is a freshman. He did not play in the tournament, so all of their boys played up a spot. And several of the matches were close. The outcome of the district match between the two may be a little different.

PT's only non-district matches this fall are: Longview Tournament, Evangel and Gladewater. They have a fairly decent program and I think it would be nice if they would schedule a few more quality opponents. Like Kilgore.
