There have been many great games in East Texas high school football history, and as much as I wish I could've seen them all, that's impossible. But, I've seen my fair share.

Class 2-A, Division II, Quarterfinals
Elysian Fields 19, Arp 13
@ Jack V. Murphy Stadium, Gladewater
In a rematch from an earlier District 19-2A game, the Elysian Fields Yellowjackets stunned the Arp Tigers on the final play of the game. Elysian Fields quarterback Tim Curry his Micah Smith for a touchdown pass with no time remaining.
Elysian Fields rallied from behind, trailing 13-0, and two of their previous scores came on fourth-down plays, one a touchdown pass from Curry to Joe Benefield, and another on Curry's touchdown pass to Dekevius Johnson.
Elysian Fields would eventually lose to Canadian in the Class 2-A, Division II State Championship Game in Brownwood.
Whitehouse 33, Sulphur Springs 30
Class 4-A, Division II, Bi-District
Hanby Stadium, Mesquite
Whitehouse rallied from down 18-points on two occasions to beat Sulphur Springs at Hanby Stadium in Mesquite.
Sulphur Springs quarterback Tyrik Rollison, who threw for 351-yards in the loss, had his Hail-Mary pass go through the back of the end zone to end the game.
Whitehouse was sparked by two critical fourth-quarter interceptions, including one by freshman Quincy Aldridge, and another by senior Steven Hicks.
RIDAY, OCTOBER 8TH @ LOBO STADIUM, LONGVIEW
LONGVIEW 34 TYLER LEE 31 (OVERTIME)
(In a game that most thought would decide the District 12-5A championship, nationally-ranked Longview rallied to beat Tyler Lee in overtime, 34-31.
