Tommy Aldridge, "I am not returning to Longview High."
(Tuesday, 3:10pm)

Tommy Aldridge, who retired from Longview I.S.D. in April, told Smoaky.com, "I'm not coming back to Longview High School."

Aldridge, who was 908-180 in 32-years as the Lady Lobos basketball coach, had been given the option of returning as head coach by athletic director Pat Collins, but because of retire-rehire rules, it's not going to work out.

Aldridge told Smoaky.com, "I wanted to come back as long as Pat Collins is the athletic director here, but due to some public school retirement rules it's not in my best interest to return." Aldridge added, "I'm proud of what we've accomplished as a program, and although we've put up some great numbers, I'm most proud of our consistency as a program."
