Nacogdoches DB Lane commits to Oklahoma State

Nacogdoches 2015 cornerback Jaylon Lane has committed to Mike Gundy and Oklahoma State, announcing his commitment via Twitter on Sunday morning.

Lane (6'2 - 185) held more than 30 offers from across the country including Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Ohio State, LSU, UCLA, Miami and defending national champion Florida State.

Congratulations to Jaylon and the Nacogdoches program.
John Berry Quotes on Gladewater Job

John Berry was officially approved as the new athletic director and head football coach at Gladewater High School on Monday. This is the first-ever head coaching job for Berry, who was named the interim AD/Football Coach in mid-January after long-time friend Jerrod Baugh resigned.

Steve Wells offered and accepts job at Liberty-Eylau...

Steve Wells was offered and accepted the job as athletic director and head football coach at Liberty-Eylau High School.

Wells, who has an overall record of 44-45 as a head coach (Hooks 24-21), (Mineola 9-12), (Jacksonville 21-22), has been the co-offensive coordinator at Liberty-Eylau.

If approved, Wells will replace Brian Brown who is now at Red Oak High School.

The school board meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 20th.
Eric Blenden leaving Frost for Valley Mills...

Eric Blenden is leaving Frost to become AD/Head Football Coach at Valley Mills, he was 18-8 in 2-yrs at Frost, including 12-2 in 2012.

Blenden told David Smoak, "I'm thankful for my time and the memories our program created at Frost, but looking forward to building new traditions at Valley Mills, with Eagle Pride."

Blenden replaces Dusty Robinson.
