2 East Texans commit to Louisiana Tech...
Smoaky.com has learned via TechSportsUnleashed.com that Pleasant Grove athlete Antonio Graves and Texas High offensive lineman Ben Jackson have given their verbal commitments to Louisiana Tech for the football class of 2010.
There is now 29 East Texas high school football players committed to Division I universities for the class of 2010.

Lions sign Brandon Pettigrew
Brandon Pettigrew, the Lions second 1st-round pick and 20th-overall, signed a five-year contract with the Detroit Lions.
Pettigrew, from Tyler Lee and Oklahoma State, agreed to a contract worth $14.6 million, with $9.4 million in guaranteed money.
The Lions will hold their first team meeting and practice on Saturday.
Frankston's Coleman commits to Tech
Frankston defensive lineman Coby Coleman, 6-3, 280, has given his verbal commitment to play college football at Texas Tech.
Coleman, who committed during a visit to Lubbock on Friday, told David Smoak, "When I was in Lubbock today I just fell in love with the atmosphere and everything, it's an amazing place and it's everything a person would want in a college and I have so much to look forward too."
Coleman also had an offer from Stephen F. Austin.
He is the 27th East Texan to commit to a Division 1-A school for the Class of 2010, and the third from the area to commit to Tech, the others include Sulphur Springs offensive lineman Beau Carpenter and defensive end Kedrick Dial.

Arp's Cooper commits to Oklahoma State
Arp athlete LaVocheya Cooper, 6-1, 185, 4.5, has given his verbal commitment to Oklahoma State.
He becomes the fourth East Texan to commit to OSU's Class of 2010.
Cooper, a multi-sport star at Arp, was named "Mr. Versalitity" on the 2008 All-Smoaky.com team.
Cooper played running back, safety, and involved in all special teams. He rushed for 1,520-yards on 190-carries and scored 19-TD's offensively, plus recorded 87-tackles, 3-TFL's, casuded 3-fumbles, recovered a fumble, intercepted 8-passes and returned one of them for a touchdown on defense, and finished with 5-special teams touchdowns (2-PR, 3-KR).
He joins Texas High QB Nathan Sorenson, John Tyler OL Gerron Anthony, and
Tyler Lee athlete Chris Dinkins in the Class of 2010 commitments to Oklahoma State.
Cowboys place Hodge on PUP List
Cowboys placed Tatum's Stephen Hodge and DT Tim Anderson on the physically unable to perform list.
Hodge is the sixth-round pick out of TCU, who had arthroscopic surgery on his knee during the June mini-camp.
