Jason Holcomb is the new AD/Head Football Coach at Sealy High School and for him, it's a chance of a lifetime, "Well, it's a great opportunity and they have great tradition here at Sealy and we're going to come in here and give it our best shot."

Holcomb, who was 109-50 in 13-years as AD/Football Coach at Lexington also mentioned his former school is in good hands with the promotion of defensive coordinator Kirk Muhl to lead the Eagles, "Coach Muhl is more than ready for that job, Lexington football will be in good hands."

Johnny Tusa new AD at Waco I.S.D.
Thursday, 6th June 2013 - 8:02PM
Former longtime Waco High School football coach Johnny Tusa was named on Monday as the Interim athletic director at Waco I.S.D.

Tusa, who was the head football coach at Waco High from 1986-2008, replaces Johanna Denson who accepted a similar position at Pflugerville I.S.D.

Tusa has been in coaching for 38-years, but, retired following the 2008 school year to work with Grant Teaff at the American Football Coaches Association.

Tusa told the crowd on Monday, "Having both Marty Herbst (Waco High) and Keith Willis (University High) already set on staff made this decision so much easier."

The "Interim" tag appears to be a formality, and should be removed in December of this year.
Cushing to recommend Bill Jehling
Thursday, 6th June 2013 - 8:02PM
Sources told David Smoak, Cushing I.S.D. will recommend Bill Jehling as their new AD/Head Football Coach sometime in the next week.

Jehling has been the varsity assistant, Special Teams Coordinator and Strength & Conditioning Coach at J.J. Pearce High School in Richardson. He has also been on staff in the Frisco and Mesquite I.S.D. systems. He played college football at Duquesne University.

Jehling has also been an assistant coach with the Pearce baseball program.

If approved, Jehling will replace Danny Robey, who left to be an assistant coach at New Caney Porter High School.
