Former Tatum High School star Lennon Creer, who was expected to enroll and begin classes at Louisiana Tech University on Thursday, will enroll for the second summer session, not the first.

This according to one source very close to the former all-state running back, "Lennon wanted to take care of some family business, and will apparently wait until the next session."

The same source told KTBB's David Smoak, "I'm positive Lennon has verbally committed to playing at Louisiana Tech."

Creer asked for and was granted a release from the University of Tennessee earlier this year.

He will sit out the next season and have two years of eligibility remaining.

Creer was a record-breaking running back at Tatum High School, and helped lead the Eagles to back-to-back state championships.
