Corsicana I.S.D. has approved the recommendation of Steve Hoffman as their new head football coach after a school board meeting on Monday.

Hoffman has been the head coach at Del Rio since 2007 where he compiled a 46-24 record. Hoffman has also been an assistant coach at Schertz Clemens, Marion and Cleburne.

Hoffman told the Corsicana Sun, "This is a tremendous opportunity. Corsicana has a great tradition. Corsicana is a great town. It’s a great community. Opportunities like this don’t come around very often. I’m fortunate that Dr. Frost and and the search committee did the research they did.”
