Friday, 26th April 2013 - 8:14PM
Brian Herman had big goals for Eustace I.S.D. football and the athletic programs, but, he's decided to leave as the AD/Football Coach due to personal reasons, and because he's accepted the Athletic Coordinator/Head Football Coaching position at Lockhart I.S.D.

Herman, 15-8 in two years at Eustace told David Smoak, "My wife has been working remotely and has been traveling back and forth from Austin to East Texas for quite some time, and she has received a promotion and will no longer have that flexibility." Herman continued, "In the coaching profession, it's usually the wives and family who are uprooted too much, in this case, and at this time, I'm moving back to the Austin area for her career."

Herman, who has also coached at Liberty Hill, Lampasas and Bemieji State University enjoyed his two years at Eustace, "I think we've made great strides on the defensive side and this is an awesome place to coach, great student-athletes and administration," Herman, "I wasn't expecting this to happen, but it is a positive for the family in many ways and that's what matters."
