Tyler Junior College (4-2):

The Apaches are riding a 4-game winning-streak, as they get ready cross the Red River and battle
#8 Northeastern Oklahoma A&M Saturday at 6:00pm.

The TJC offense is averaging 51ppg, while their defense is allowing 19.8ppg.

The Apaches put up 508 yards of offense, en route to a 38-14 victory over New Mexico Military Institute last week. K’Vonte Jackson averaged 12.8 yards per carry and finished the game 13-166, 1TD.

#17 Kilgore College (5-2):

The Rangers have a bye this week, after winning three games in a row.

Kilgore defeated TVCC 49-24 last week, behind a stellar performance from quarterback Dakota Michaels. Michaels was 14-16, for 233-yards and 4 TD's. The leading receiver Kilgore was Rod Ford 4-140, 2 TD’s.

The Rangers will resume play October 20th on the road at #11 Blinn College.

Navarro College (4-3):

The Bulldogs rebounded from a heartbreaking 10-9 loss against #8 Northeastern Oklahoma A&M, with a dominating 70-8 victory over Texas A&T last week.

Running backs Jordan Humphrey and Keaton Dudik both scored two touchdowns, while quarterbacks Parker McNeil and Michael Massarella combined for four touchdowns.

Navarro will need that same kind of offensive firepower this week, as they host New Mexico Military Institute at 3:00pm on Saturday.

Trinity Valley Community College (3-4)

TVCC hasn’t been able to establish any consistency this season.

The Cardinals feel to Kilgore College last week 49-24, despite the Rangers having 16 penalties for 165-yards. Ball security killed the Cardinals last week, as they had three turnovers in the loss.

TVCC will be looking to get back into the win column this Saturday, as they host Rezolution Prep Academy at 3:00pm.

Texas College (0-3):

Texas College can’t seem to find the win column, but the Steers have consistently scored more each week of the season.

The Steers relied on the legs of Vontyne Williams to help them make a comeback against SAGU last week. SAGU held a 35-7 lead at halftime and Williams put the team on his back.

Williams ran for 205-yards and 3 TD’s, while throwing for 87-yards and 1TD.

Texas College will be on the road Saturday, as the head to Surprise Arizona for a 7:00pm game with Ottawa University-Arizona.

ETBU will head to Seguin on Saturday for a 1:00pm kickoff with Texas Lutheran.

#2 University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (5-0):

If the old saying “Defense Wins Championships” is true then UMHB is on the right track. The Cru have outscored their opponents 309-35 this season and 81 of those points have come off turnovers.

Last week UMHB got their toughest test of the season, in a 26-0 victory over rival #6 Hardin-Simmons.

The Cru will head to Brownwood this week for a 1:00pm game with Howard Payne.
