Aaron Johnson, QB, Longview, completed 6-9 passes for 100-yards, 1-TD, (24), and ran for 66-yards on 15-carries, 2-TD's, (15, 6), and scored the game-winning points on a 2-XP conversion in OT, as Longview edged Waco Midway, 43-42 in a thriller.

Tyrik Rollison, QB, Sulphur Springs, completed 24-29 passes for 387-yards, 5-TD's, (16, 18, 9, 62, 13), and ran for 2-TD's, (1, 4), as Sulphur Springs beat Rockwall Heath, 52-47.

Dwight Smith, RB, Carthage, 34-carries, 232-yards, 3-TD's, (66, 2, 3), and set a single-season school record for rushing yards, as Carthage beat Gilmer, 31-28.

Here are the Smoaky.com East Texas "Players of the Week" from performances involving the state semifinals and championship games of December 12th-13th.

The winners were decided by Smoaky.com membership voting.

Offense:
Dwight Smith, RB, Carthage, 22-carries, 298-yards, 5-TD's, (22, 13, 61, 70, 2), as Carthage whipped Giddings, 41-14.

Defense:
Anthony Mills, DB, Sulphur Springs, Intercepted 2-passes, as Wildcats beat Everman, 47-34.

Special Teams:
Tyler McCray, Longview, his 72-yard KO Return in the 4th-Quarter led to the go-ahead TD for Longview (A McCray run), as the Lobos beat Denton Guyer, 41-30.

These are selected through membership voting during the third-round of the high school state playoffs.

Offense:

Ko Ko Smith, RB, Daingerfield, 17-carries, 144-yards, 5-TD's, (18, 13, 6, 13, 1) all in the first half, as the Tigers beat New Waverly, 61-14.

Defense:

Malcolme Kennedy, DB, Cayuga, Intercepted 3-passes, returning one of them 19-yards for a TD, in Cayuga's 35-32 win against Bremond.

Special Teams:

Riley Webb, Cayuga, recovered an onside-kick to help seal Cayuga's, 35-32 win against Bremond.
