Carthage running back Dwight Smith has committed to Texas Christian University, and will sign with the Horned Frogs on Wednesday.

Smith, 5-11, 222, burst upon the scene as a senior while helping the Bulldogs win the Class 3-A, Division I State Championship.

Smith rushed for 2,820-yards and 41-TD's on 239-carries, caught 2-TD passes, and broke single season school records for rushing yards and TD's, he was the District Co-MVP, All-State, TSWA All-State Offensive Player of the Year, and All-Smoaky.com Player of the Year along with 1st-Team All-Smoaky.com.

Two gifted and multi-dimensional athletes from Tenaha, Marlon McClure and Camaron Choice, will sign with UT-El Paso on Wednesday.

Longview senior defensive end Chris Knighton has committed to play college football at Texas Tech University.

Knighten, 6-3, 235, finished with 97-tackles, 12-sacks, 16-TFL, 2-CF, 1-FR, 3-PBU, 1-Interception, was named to two all-state teams, and 1st-Team All-Smoaky.com.

Longview offensive lineman Jazz Reeves has committed to Southern Arkansas.

Reeves, 6-3, 270, finished his senior season with an 85%-blocking grade, 95-knockdowns, was All-State, and 3rd-Team All-Smoaky.com.
