KTBB Sports and Smoaky.com has learned that Longview defensive end Jeremiah Farley has given his verbal commitment to play college football for Kevin Sumlin and the Houston Cougars.
Farley, a 3rd-Team All-Smoaky.com selection as a junior, recorded 88-tackles, 8-sacks, 20-TFL, and 1-CF in 2008.
Sulphur Springs defensive back Bryant Jackson has given his verbal commitment to play college football for Mack Brown and the Texas Longhorns.
Jackson becomes one of four East Texans to give a verbal to Texas for the 2010 class along with Cayuga's Traylon Shead, Lufkin's Carrington Byndom, and Daingerfield's Chris Jones.
Texas High junior quarterback Nathan Sorenson on Tuesday, gave his early verbal commitment to Mike Gundy and the Oklahoma State Cowboys. Sorenson is Oklahoma State's second commitment for 2010 and their first commit from a Texas player.
Sorenson completed 148-250 passes for 2,077-yards and 25-TD's, 5-Interceptions, and ran for 660-yards and 6-TD's on 98-carries in 2008.
