Week 7: Marshall (4-1) Vs. Texas High (6-0)

Seems like this game comes down to the district championship every season.  And the Tigers have taken advantage.

Every season since 2015....either Marshall or Texarkana has won the championship of the ETX 5A (Div II) district.

2015:  Marshall/Longview/Texas High tri-champions
2016:  Marshall
2017:  Marshall
2018:  Marshall
2019:  Marshall
2020: Texas High
2021:  Texas High
2022: Texas High
2023: Texas High

Marshall has finished lower than 2nd place in the district only once since 2015.

Texas High has dominated the series of late.....winning 9 of the last 10 games.  

I'll get all the historical stuff and stats posted later.  Just wanted to get the thread started.

Obviously the outcome isnt what we wanted but I'm not disappointed one but with the effort and what we did. So many times I come away from a loss thinking "dang, we stunk it up this time" but this wasn't one of those times. We didnt get our heads beat in or anything. A couple big plays ended up being the difference and I can live with that. We moved the ball well, had some big stops, made some plays. Get back as healthy as we can get and we're gonna be good to go.
