  1. Correct. It’s widespread in places like L.A., New York, Chicago, Detroit, Atlanta, New Orleans, Houston, etc. I wonder what those cities have in common? Oh yeah, they’re all run by liberals! Explains a lot.

  3. As a Daingerfield allum I am so ashamed that all of this is going on and to tell you the truth I am getting very tired of all of it. It is not fair to any of us and especially the kids. They just want to play ball and win. Had a conversation with my Daddy just a few days ago and he is so disappointed, he has been watching this group of boys for a while, talking to them when he gets a chance, and so looking forward to watching them play now. He is in his 80's and has been so looking forward to this bunch of kids getting to varsity and being able to possibly see another Championship before he goes home. He said it is very sad that we a few people are willing to squander all of this talent for very selfish(really I have no idea what all of the reasons are but they are very sad). We not only need a head coach but we need a coaching staff, one man with is not going to get it done no matter who he is, so we need to find the very best path at this point to getting a coaching staff, and stop wasting valuable time that these kids deserve. It is time to stop all of the game playing, the selfish agendas and put these kids first and find the best path to a coaching staff or we are going to waste the talents of these kids and their futures. Someone please take charge of this mess who has the kids best interest at heart and get this thing fixed. Just makes me sick.....

  4. Wrong. The only problem we have with jihadists is that we just haven’t killed enough of them yet. These people claim they want war with the U.S.A. That’s exactly what we should give them. When they find themselves at war with the U.S. military, they die by the hundreds. This is a good thing.

  5. Looking at dangerfield.. the best does not alway get the job. Sometimes Politics and who you know and what you know about who you know gets you the job. Not right but it happens. Just want due diligence and the best available man, leader, coach, and man molder gets the job. But i hope your right and if he is the ¨Best¨ then may he be successful.

  10. Five senior Islamic State officials have been captured, including a top aide to the group’s leader, in a complex cross-border sting carried out by Iraqi and American intelligence, two Iraqi officials said Wednesday. The three-month operation, which tracked a group of senior Islamic State leaders who had been hiding in Syria and Turkey, represents a significant intelligence victory for the American-led coalition fighting the extremist group and underscores the strengthening relationship between Washington and Baghdad. Two Iraqi intelligence officials said those captured included four Iraqis and one Syrian whose responsibilities included governing the Islamic State’s territory around Deir al-Zour, Syria, directing internal security and running the administrative body that oversees religious rulings.

  11. I agree, the district would benefit greatly from some of the homegrown Tigers who are coaches out there. There are several very good ones. But at this point, I don't think any of them would even consider it.

  12. There's your problem in the last sentence. Just move along, nothing to see here. If you're going to be responsible caretakers of the people's money and children, then you don't move along and accept a mistake and force that mistake on your kids. If you're hoping to set an example for the district's kids – this isn't how you do it. This isn't over, unfortunately. But it's no one's fault that its not over except those who still drag it out and fail to do the right thing. If they would do the right thing rather than stalling, it might be over by now. I don't know Waldie or Nelson but did attend a game last year. I don't know who coaches defense but I thought he should be fired after watching a quarter of that game. When did we give up on defense at DF, of all places? lol I've never seen "catch and release" employed on a football field before.

Also as stated above go 1/4-1/4-1/2. Also a diff way we have is bring the Willy over and bump Sam to #2. Have Sam get Flats, Willy H/C and play 1/4s with CB/R . Drop Free down to play run and if gets pass read he plays MOF

  19. Not sure they are doing the traditional, get all the applications in, narrow it down to 5, interview them all, bring back the top two, then make the choice. I think they are evaluating and interviewing as they get the applications, but i could be wrong.

  22. They aren't going back to split locations. It has proven far too lucrative, not to mention popular, to have the single site. Basketball, Volleyball, baseball, and softball all have small schools play during the week and their fans show up..... why should football be any different.

  23. Ray Charles seen the damn two bit shim sham committee farce and the board/supt 3 card rummy attempt on the community. Nelson signed the bottom of a Bud light coaster for his contract last fall. the rest is pure smoke and mirrors. And as rents2danghigh said they are just praying the good ole folks will all lie down & roll over like good little serfs and accept it as " it is what it is" now you need to be good little folks and support the school and the new AD we rammed down your throats that well over 3/4 of the community does not want.

  29. I don't have that answer. But I know blood in the water when I see it. You don't decline a FOIA request consisting of standard questions about personnel and processes unless there's something there that you don't want anyone else to know the answers. Texas AG will rule on this and it will come out anyway. They know this. And I suspect there will be a "well, he's already in the job now" type mantra to come. Except, it won't be the AD's job that everyone will be taking aim at by then, IMO. Secondarily, another, separate FOIA request did gain a response from the district. This FOIA request was made by a district taxpayer and sought information/documentation about the bar room brawl that supposedly happened at a coaching convention. Their response actually raises more questions than it answers. That FOIA produced a memo from former coach Waldie to Supt. Quarrels detailing the incident. The problem with this memo is – it was written by Waldie when he had already left DF and had begun a new job elsewhere, according to the date on the memo. So either Waldie mysteriously cared about stuff he left behind and you'd think wouldn't matter to him or he was asked by Quarrels to produce this memo. So why would it matter to Waldie whether or not he wrote a memo about an incident almost two months old by then and would have no bearing whatsoever on his new job? Or, why would Quarrels feel the need to pursue Waldie and pursue this memo? The memo is dated only a couple days prior to the board making the Nelson hire. Having a first-hand account of the incident, it was ugly and it was unnecessary and yes, quite juvenile – but nothing I would have fired him over. But I probably would not have, knowing this info, made him my next head coach.

  30. Exactly. Trump said a month ago he was going to pull our troops out of Syria, and a chemical bomb is detonated. I guarantee it wasn't by Syria, because ISIS wants to keep the U.S. on their side in that Civil War. We should join forces with Syria and restore their country to Assad's control. Once the rebels are eradicated he can control his country again, and Assad would be grateful for our help. Whatever intelligence showed it was Syria was wrong. Syria doesn't want the U.S. involved.

  39. Actually ISIS is starting to make a comeback since Trump and Israel started to use military force in Syria. Syria, Iran, and Hezbollah has had to pull resources away from fighting ISIS to their defense against Israel. ISIS has captured a few small towns back from the Syrian govt. the last couple of weeks. Just because the Pro-Trump news media are now calling ISIS members Syrian rebels. Make no mistake about it they still hold Islamic radical beliefs. America made the same mistake in Afghanistan in the 80s. Gave Al Qaeda weapons to fight the Russians while ignoring Al Qaeda's radical beliefs. Syrian president is a necessary evil just like the Libyan & Iraqi president was in the 90s & 2000s.

  41. When the US military gets involved, we Americans go broke. "Americans got the watches, and we have the time' " says the Muslims who fight us. American tax payer have proven to be the weak point in the American armor. They will not in most part make a sacrifice. So let one bad group of guys kill another bad group of guys. It cost Americans nothing. Remember how Obama defeated Hillary in the 2008 Democratic Primary. He was the only one who voted NO to the war which had become very unpopular at the time.

  42. 1. Parts of Syria & Iraq ( near the Syrian border ) is still pretty much lawless land. 2. Pro-Trump = Fox News, Brietbart..com and such 3. Mujahedeen / Al Qaeda same people just renamed. 4. ISIS is capturing towns again. No longer losing territory because Syria and Iranian have to pull troops and equipment from fighting ISIS in North/North East Syria to near Israeli border. How many times did we kill Iraqi insurgency #2 guy in Iraq ? It didn't matter we still pulled out. I say again ! Let bad guys on each side kill each other. It doesn't cost America a dime.

  43. ISIS will just do a field promotion. If any of those 5 captured were in charge of outside financing then that would hurt ISIS. Why is ISIS capturing territory again ? Don't count your chickens before they hatch. This is not a anti-Trump statement. Syria and Iran had to divert resources.

  44. McCain represents how little we know about ISIS. He unknowingly posed for pictures with ISIS members. It shows we don't know who is who in Syria. ISIS will now be known as Syrian rebels now on the new media to avoid asking tough questions about ISIS.
