  1. Good game Pitt. Y`all were no doubt the better team and your coaches were vastly superior to Gilmer`s. Jimerson is a heck of a player. Hope y`all have a nice run in the playoffs and have fun watching him do his thing. In a year of pathetic performances by Gilmer, this just might be the most pathetic of them all. You could tell from Gilmer's body language before kickoff that we were going to get blasted. Changes have to be made when the season is done. These coaches have lost the players and run this program into the ground. Imagine it will be the same ol' same ol' next game against LE and will probably be the smallest crowd for a season ending home game in Gilmer in decades.

  2. I didn't take offense to anything the Pitt players or coaches did. I wish our lame and uninspired coaches would show some energy and excitement like the Pitt coaches did. Good for them for getting into the game and getting their players not only far more prepared than Gilmer, but having a darn good time while doing it. After we lose to LE in two weeks, let the blood bath begin with the Gilmer coaching staff.

  3. These same Gilmer kids were winning against these teams in Jr. high, 9th, & JV. That should tell you something. What worries me is Gilmer looks really good in Jr. high, 9th, & JV again this year. But if the situation doesn’t change, these kids will never get to realize their full potential.

  4. Proof that a large fan base can be a positive contribution to your teams performance lol.

  5. First, why not ask one of your coaches about class? Second, only one first down on pass interference call in the first half. I would be more worried about other things.

  6. Fblife13 I’m sorry I didn’t get back to u in a couple of hours but I was laughing to hard that the once Great Daingerfield Tigers Under Barry Bowman (2008, 2009 & 2010) 44-3 and Texas High School Football Hall Of Fame Coach Dennis Alexander Back in the 80’s has fallen to far beyond mediocre. The Lowly Tigers are 19-26 for the past 4 years and those 19 wins are against the Ore City’s and Queen City’s in Texas HS Football! They have not beaten a good team in many, many years! Who is the Idiots who let “ The Great Dennis Alexander” slip through there fingers over the summer and hired a no name guy who can’t even drive himself to work!

  8. I’m not mavchamp but....... marshall 5-0-has Wh and PT left-one win or Lindale loss clinches DC and #1 seed. lindale 4-1-has PT and Jax left-clinched playoff spot-1 win or WH loss clinches 2 seed Wh 4-1-has Marshall and Hallsville left-clinched playoff spot-no worse than 3 seed. Nac 2-3-has MP and Hallsville left-win out clinches or a MP/PT loss clinches. Could lose to Hallsville and clinch with a win vs MP coupled with a Hallsville loss to WH. Pt 2-3-has Lindale and Marshall left-must win out and needs a Nac loss-can go 1-1 if MP wins out and Nac beats hallsville . MP would have to beat Nac by less than 4(+5 to MP, -1 to Nac) to win 3 way tie. Mathematically still alive but a very tall order. mp 1-4-Jax and Nac left- must win out and have pt either go 1-1 or 0-2-would have to beat Nac by more than 5 to go in 3 way tie with pt/nac. Can go 1-1 as long as Hallsville beat Nac. hallsville 1-4-Nac and Wh left-could make it with win out and have Nac beat MP and PT lose out. jax 1-4-has MP and Lindale left- eliminated-even winning out they help Nac clinch and would lose tie breakers if they tied Nac/pt. Nac/MP control their own destiny...but we are the verge of a big mess for the 4 the spot. i think I have everything!!!

  9. This week Jacksonville comes to MP. These 2 have played some good games the past few years with Jacksonville coming out on top. Can this be the year MP gets a win against the Indians?

  10. Congrats to the young men who are the Huntington Red Devils. In what was a tight game Huntington held on in the last minute to preserve their 21-14 lead against Tarkington and with the win will be moving on to the post season this year for the very first time!

  11. Speed and a lead are two things that hurt us. We won’t win a track meet one on one. If we can get guys to the ball early it puts our D in good shape. If that guy gets to the secondary? He gone. Which goes into the leads. A 7 point lead for the opponent we can handle. A stop here and we can drive to tie it up. 14 points? That’s two stops and two scoring drives for us. That’s tougher. You get us down early and keep on the throttle your gonna do very well against us.

  12. Well I tell you what...My hat is off to you guys...Just not many programs our size that can field those kinda numbers...It takes the entire community to buy in for that to happen. Including those old hard fence hangers. Y'all are leading by example imo keep it up

  13. Negative lol. That SA line will destroy SV and create plenty of gaping holes for them to run wild. It’s about matchups and pretty SA beats the dragons worse than they beat HD, WS and Groveton. How does HD matchup with WS in your opinion?

  16. I didn’t put anything on here because I wasn’t at the game. Then I went surfing for scores and found it here. I wondered why no more updates so I went to find scores and update. Its kinda funny - JT was talked about as a 29 point favorite and they only score 28. Mc North has been talked about not being a very good team. JT has been talked about going 5 rounds deep but can only beat this bad team by 3. Mc North outscored JT 22-7 in the second half I agree that Mc North is an average to above average team Heck they may not even get into the playoffs Not sure JT is what some think they are

  18. Your QB just had too much pressure on him all night. Most of the time he was throwing the ball away to keep from taking a loss. I think he only took off running once. The Bear defense played really well all night, both upfront and in the secondary. Once again the Bear offense took the 2nd half kickoff and just did what they do best. A long drive that used over 9 mins to paydirt. Those drives are just killers to an opposing team. Good luck to White Oak going forward. Y'all have some really good young players coming up.

  19. They’ve morphed from a 24/7 News Channel into a 24/7 Cheerleader/guardian for the Democratic Party. Just has the Democratic Party has morphed from a political party into an agenda driven system to Communist hell, after a brief stop at Socialist decline and ruin. You Know what is so perplexing about this? If no one had tried Socialism before, if it had a possibility of success, I could see the “grass is greener on the other side of the hill” folks buying in. But since it’s been tried numerous times, and failed every single time, how do you get folks to buy into that? Could you lead these folks to a cliff and tell them to jump, reassuring them all the time, “Things will be better when you hit bottom”? Sad truth, yes you can.

  20. Very encouraging to see these young people stand up to all the ridicule and name calling they surely have to endure. It’s called the Young Black Leadership Summit. Their willingness to stand up to the status quo of democrats leading the black community, exhibits that they are leaders. Tired of false promises. Tired of being kept on the Plantation by the same people who profess to be helping them, while carrying blacks down the dependency abyss reffered to as Govt Welfare. A system that puts chains on them. Invisible chains, but chains nonetheless. It gives me hope for our country, where before, I saw little. Great post WH1 !!

  21. Got a chance to watch this one in person. I only recall 1 turnover for Alto and that came on the very 1st possession. You’d like to see them punch that in though. I was on the far end of the field from it, but it looked like the QB bobbled the snap from the get go and never had full possession while trying to hand it off. Tough break, but thought they responded real well as they scored on their next 4 possessions. Field was a sloppy mess with very poor footing. I thought the QB threw the ball decently and just missed on a couple of throws that would’ve been big plays/TDs. A lot better than the last time I saw them in person. If I was a betting man, Alto probably ran less than 50 plays. Cushing really milked the clock by running the play in from the sideline old school style. Even saw the refs let them get away with a delay of game penalty or two. I thought in the 2nd half the officiating became very....I don’t know what the right word is. It’s like they were trying to make sure the score stayed respectable, even though that is nowhere in their job description. A couple of times it was almost like the white hat saw that alto had a big play and just casually tossed his flag out late to keep the score from happening. Very strangely officiated for sure. I wasn’t sure what to expect from Alto tonight. After listening last week I was curious to see if they would respond and play good football, or still be licking their wounds and let 1 loss turn into 2. Thought this had trap game written all over it and very solid efficient 1st half (4 TDs on 5 possessions) showed me all I needed to know. Hopefully I’ll get a chance to see this bunch play again in person. There is some talent on the field for sure and they could cause some team to lose a little bit of sleep come playoff time.

  23. I'm not sure what the game plan was, but I can say this: Atlanta's defense was not the issue this game. You probably think that sounds crazy, but Atlanta fans knew that we wouldn't shut Jefferson down, and didn't expect it. We wanted our defense to give our offense a chance to score and keep us above water, which the defense did. If Atlanta had the number of stops they had tonight against Gilmer, Gladewater, or PG, we would have won all of those games. The problem tonight came on the side of the ball no Atlanta fan thought we'd struggle on. Be that it was Jefferson's superb defensive effort, Atlanta's lack of blocking, dropped passes, or just misques, Atlanta's offense struggled all night. Dropped snaps on 3rd down plays, dropped passes, getting blown off the football all night long. Atlanta's offense is what failed tonight. They had 3 - 3 and outs in a row in the 2nd quarter, 5 in the first half. That leaves their defense on the field far too long to expect them to hold Jefferson to any sort of reasonable point total. That being said, we gotta get back on it in the a.m. and fix what problems we still have. We still have a talented group of kids, we just have to get them all firing on all cylinders.

  27. I never been on the train of next man up, you could tell the passing game was severely impacted without your two best receivers out there. Not saying it would’ve helped them score but you could see with a blind eye the offense was compromised and limited by it. Sometimes you next man is not enough.

  37. Good luck to Jefferson the rest of the way! I hope we get another shot down the road. Atlanta's offense failed to get anything going. Multiple opportunities and they were squandered, including the horrible time management before halftime. Y'all have a good squad. I hope both parties do there part to meet in the post-season. Looks like y'all will probably draw Mineola in the first round if I was guessing.
