You are right; I am his mother. Clearly I’m not trying to hide behind a screen name. I grew up in this community and graduated from EF. We moved our family back to EF by choice, and we proudly stand behind our choice, but the EF I know doesn’t settle for mediocrity.3 points

I don’t think I’ve seen our DC smile as much in the last year as he has in the last 2 games! Lol Great defensive mind and the boys are responding. It’s a mindset. And as far as the offense, we are shaking things up and our arsenal is growing. More diverse than in the past and the longer the kids are are in the system the better it’s going to get in my opinion. Thanks for the support! We believe we will get better and better. The team and coaches are grinding!3 points

You guys always play well at Lobo, I don't see the worry. We have already found out Highland Park can be beat. Just can not see Rockwall rolling into Longview and winning this game. They have given up a ton of points to everyone they have played, except Rowlett and I would not count them as a big threat to anyone. The difference is your defense, your not totally dependent on your O to carry all the load, whereas Rockwall has to have as many points as possible. You can control how many times they touch the ball with your defense. The Lobo D is the best that Rockwall has seen this year. That will be the difference.3 points

The topic of #4 playing offense has gotten blown way out of proportion. Fans want to see a show. They want the best on the field. They want the best chance to win. They didn’t say he had to play every play of every game. They just want to see him get meaningful offensive snaps when he can make a difference.2 points

So a guy who most likely wont garner even a dozen votes on election day 2020 says Trump committed treason. Desperate much? Newsflash: this R is another rino from massachusetts. Just another lifer who's spent his whole career suckling from government. And no barry, it's not you saying it, this time. If I had to guess, you've likely already engaged in your daily diatribe of the same old tired talking points of mobster, etc. ps, you're late for your couch session. Please don't skip it. We have much work to do...2 points

I believe Dfield will bounce back and be ready for EF. I think they will play a good game vs EF. I do not beleive they win by 13. Could they win, absolutely. If they do, will it be a shock? Absolutely Not. But I do not think EF loses by 13. If EF can get a couple of stops on defense, EF wins this game.2 points

This isn't ME saying this, but instead a GOP rival....wanted to make that plain. GOP rival Bill Weld says Trump has committed ‘treason, pure and simple’ September 23 at 9:21 AM Former Massachusetts governor Bill Weld, who is challenging President Trump for the Republican nomination next year, on Monday accused him of “treason” for pressing the leader of Ukraine to investigate former vice president Joe Biden and his son. Weld’s comments came in response to reports that Trump repeatedly brought up investigating Biden, who is seeking the 2020 Democratic nomination, and his younger son, Hunter, in a July call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. “Talk about pressuring a foreign country to interfere with and control a U.S. election,” Weld said during an appearance on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.” “It couldn’t be clearer, and that’s not just undermining democratic institutions. That is treason. It’s treason, pure and simple, and the penalty for treason under the U.S. code is death. That’s the only penalty.” “The penalty under the Constitution is removal from office, and that might look like a pretty good alternative to the president if he could work out a plea deal,” added Weld, who appeared in a joint interview with two other Republicans challenging Trump, former congressmen Mark Sanford (S.C.). and Joe Walsh (Ill.). Trump appeared to confirm Sunday as he spoke with reporters that he mentioned Joe and Hunter Biden in the phone call with Zelensky — though he insisted he has done nothing improper. Trump has repeatedly raised the specter of impropriety on the part of Biden, whose son Hunter was on the board of a Ukrainian gas company that Trump pushed Zelensky to investigate, according to people familiar with the matter. The call with Zelensky is part of a whistleblower complaint that the acting director of national intelligence, Joseph Maguire, has been unwilling to turn over to Congress, a refusal that has rankled Democrats and heightened calls for impeaching Trump. Weld pointed out Monday that the Constitution calls for the removal of presidents for “treason, bribery or other high crimes and misdemeanors” and argued that Trump has now met the most serious threshold. “We don’t have to worry about bribery any more, although I think he’s committed that,” Weld said. “We don’t have to worry about other high crimes and misdemeanors, although I think he’s committed many. He’s such a lawless man. We’ve got treason, and we don’t have to dribble around the court. We can go right for the hoop.” “It’s well past time for this guy … to be carted off to save us all,” Weld added.2 points

I 100% agree. He doesn’t have to play every down but he should definitely be seeing more of the offensive side of the football than he has. So far all he’s let him do is block and threw him a bone with a few 2-point conversions. If you recall last Friday night, #4 had his ankle stepped on in a dog pile. He came out for the rest of that defensive stand. Did EF roll w/o a MLB!? I think not! Had a back up in there! I can handle the truth whatever that might be, but the truth ain’t the fact that he doesn’t have a backup for him. Football teams usually have their best outcomes when they have players of high caliber in multiple positions. That opens up opportunities for everyone. Can’t double team multiple players or spy multiple players cause then you make yourself vulnerable.2 points

Listen Jackwagon......we have video and audio evidence of Joe Biden BRAGGING about getting the Ukrainian prosecutor FIRED for a billion dollars of “funding” monies. “I’m leaving in six hours....If the prosecutor is not fired by then you will get no money.” -Joe Biden2 points

Congratulated Meeks last Friday night and he said “I didn’t do a thing”. Didn’t want the credit and gave all the praise to his boys. But he and the whole staff have really done an excellent job at getting our boys prepared. Starting with the off season program and week in and week out for their opponents. Defensively, you can tell the unit as a whole is disciplined and know their responsibilities very well. Offensively, every week I see something new on offense that I didn’t know we did and that’s really exciting. We aren’t predictable. Sting Em is right, there’s an old familiar buzz (if you will) around here right now and it feels good.2 points

While we are a month away from the season beginning, some big news dropped today. Kansas Charged with Multiple Level 1 Violations I think everyone has assumed Kansas is going to take a hit, but the last two names mentioned in the story are interesting. Whether or not the NCAA moves to investigate or do anything about UNC or Duke will be very interesting...1 point

More than just family talking, or as you say whining, about why he is not playing offense. You obviously are out of touch with your community and football. No, he didn’t play defense at the large 4A, now 5A school he came from. He was a starting WR/TE as a sophomore, who received district honors. Make no mistake, we are happy for the Jackets and are pleased with the outcomes of the games so far. However, it is hard to sit and watch your son’s potential just being squandered every Friday night. I’m not saying he has to be on the field every snap. It would be nice for him to get some reps though. I know that he has made a large contribution on defense and could continue that contribution on offense if given the chance.1 point

You are way off course and obviously have no idea why EF fans are aggravated. We aren’t talking about being 21 points ahead and him not playing because with the way things are now, #4 would have been on the field on offense because he’s a second stringer, and that’s what you do when you’re up 21! Or you had a receiver with a wrapped up injured hand, but he still played the entire game. We are aggravated because #4, who is at a minimum, better than the worst receiver we have, is seeing ZERO reps during the game as a receiver. The only time he sees the field on offense is when they use him as the pack mule, to block in short yardage/redzone situations, or need a sure handed catch for a 2 point conversion. Maybe you should refer back to your June 23rd post on Ride for the Brand fb group post about #4 and tell me again why he would be an asset to EF. Also tell me why he was taken to the East Texas Coaches Combine in the spring as a receiver and received attention from several college recruiters and kids starting ahead of him were not taken.1 point

I agree. That is why I did not post a name or number of a kid. They are 16, 17, 18 year old kids. They have school all day, practice after school and go home. They don't have specialized training or get to train for 8 hours or watch film for 8 hours a day. They are doing what they can.1 point

I will make the executive decision for the EF crowd and say negative, we will stick with what we have over him! LOL1 point

Your right about it being a mindset, something we haven’t had in the past several years. You can’t teach or coach that, it’s learned in battle, and with success. It’s also contagious, the younger guys will feed off of it, and learn to play the same way.1 point

How is that any different than all the liberals running for president crossing the country in private jets or owning multiple mansions? Hypocritical.1 point

It will definitely be a tough one for Prairiland, if the line ever decides to block then they can possibly make a game of it. Does Cooper have any size? Rivercrest's & DeKalb's O-line size and the speed of Clarksville were the differences in all those games. Curious to see if the Patriots can pull an upset and catch Cooper looking ahead like they almost did last year, when Cooper pulled away late 27-13.1 point

I know exactly what that is, and it isn't corruption, but a description of the part that Biden and several others played in removing someone who wasn't doing their job. See, here is where the Trumpites and their 'whataboutism' often get lost. Did Joe Biden do anything wrong? The issue here is whether Mr. Biden used his position as vice president to help a Ukrainian energy company that was paying Hunter Biden by pushing for the ouster of a Ukrainian prosecutor. The prosecutor’s office had oversight of investigations into the oligarch who owned the company. As The New York Times reported this spring, no evidence has surfaced that the former vice president intentionally tried to help his son by pressing for the prosecutor’s dismissal. In fact, some of the vice president’s former associates said he never did anything to deter other efforts to go after the oligarch, Mykola Zlochevsky. Those efforts included a push by Obama administration officials for the United States to support criminal investigations by Ukrainian and British authorities, and possibly for the United States to start its own investigation, into the energy company, Burisma Holdings, and its owner, Mr. Zlochevsky, for possible money laundering and abuse of office. What evidence is Mr. Trump citing? The president has often been vague about the specifics of his allegations, but one detail that he and his allies have repeatedly cited is the former vice president’s threatening to withhold $1 billion in United States loan guarantees if Ukraine’s leaders did not dismiss the prosecutor. Mr. Trump’s campaign on Saturday publicized footage of Mr. Biden recounting the threat. “I said: ‘We’re leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor’s not fired, you’re not getting the money,’” Mr. Biden recounted at a 2018 event sponsored by the Council on Foreign Relations. “Well, son of a ###, he got fired,” Mr. Biden continued, in footage that was not included in the Trump campaign video. The prosecutor general, Viktor Shokin, was soon voted out by the Ukrainian Parliament. His dismissal had been sought not just by Mr. Biden, but also by others in the Obama administration, as well other Western governments and international lenders. Mr. Shokin had been repeatedly accused of turning a blind eye to corruption in his office and among the Ukrainian political elite, and criticized for failing to bring corruption cases. See, one of the two men, was after someone who wouldn't pursue corruption: BIDEN One that might have sought to use his office in a quid pro quo, which would be corruption? That would beTRUMP1 point

Actually, you are wrong. I know quite a bit about it. My son played D1 football (FCS) and we went through 2 years of recruiting. Those recruiters make their living evaluating players and if the kid was good enough he would have gone FBS. A lot more goes into it than receiving yards and TDs. Your boy played for the 6A state champions last year and got all of the attention a high school kid could get. You think every FBS program in the region was wrong on him? If any of those Schools thought he could help the program they would have offered him.1 point
