It is not going to go away. So we can either close down everything for a long time essentially shuttering our way of life, and risk the collapse our entire governmental & economic systems. Or, we can accept the fact that people are going to get it and just try to do the best we can to be careful and limit the spread as much as possible and move forward with life.

The composite average for Mack's class is 92.10, which is outstanding, and the only ones higher than that currently are Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, Georgia, and LSU so this isn't like Tennessee being ranked in the top 5 with a lot of commits, Mack's landing big time recruits. For comparison of regional programs, composite average for Texas is 91.65, OU is 91.05, and A&M is 90.30 OU will get a boost in a few days when they land that 5* QB. NC could very easily finish #2 in the ACC behind Clemson. The early game against Auburn will be a good one to watch.

I think given the freedom he has, it gives him a leg up. I think I worded it wrong. He is a master in giving himself the best work environment in the state. I think that skill is very underrated and I don't see why other coaches haven't figured this out

Carthage can NEVER be replicated. I'm honestly not sure Surratt is the best coach in East Tx, but i am sure he's the smartest. Name ONE coach in the state who can start 1-4 or 1-3 and the fans not panic at all? Just name one. Back in 2010 Surratt bet on himself and as a result, he's able to take his time during the season and move pieces around without threats of being ran out of town. No other coach in the state has that luxury. Heck WO-S fans were ready to run their coach out of town because he was not undefeated.The 2010 dawgs could have easily gone 10-0 tthat season but probably would have lost to Brownwood. Although fans would have been happy only losing one game, he would have been forced into the loop of having to win at the cost of a state title run each season. As a hs varsity coach myself, the autonomy to coach as you please is hard to come by and he's gained that in Carthage. JMO, but the fact that he has everyone in the town on the same page on the process is stellar. This is the equivalent of a principal letting a teacher teach the way they want and trusting that they will come through during the STAAR,

Now that I'm retired I can tell this....lol....i wrote lesson plans that the admin wanted to see....but I taught what I thought should be taught.....my lessons very rarely matched the lesson plans or the "prescribed curriculum" ......thats why my kids performed exceptionally well on the government standardized tests.....all that crap that comes from the "research" is worth less.....it was researched by LIBERALS and force fed to admins and teachers in in services and PLCs.....THAT is why public education has gone to pot.......

Thanks. There is a fine line between not living in fear and being irresponsible. I agree we are all going to have to face this giant at some point. But if you have it you need to stay at home until you test negative so you don’t get other people sick.

If there were guarantees that sitting out the fall fix everything, I would say do it. But there are no guarantees for that

I have a lot of relatives in the medical field, three doctors and I don't know how many nurses. The consensus among many "experts" is we would have been far better to have not locked everything down and let the virus run its course, let people build up immunity ... there is also a lot or pros and cons about wearing masks depending on who you believe ... I truly believe the liberals are doing everything they can to keep this going to keep the economy from recovering to hurt President Trump's reelection .... they could care less about sports and who it affects ...

I think the whole virus thing is overblown ... let it run it's course in the younger healthy population ... protect the elderly and vulnerable ...
