  1. Talking about Carthage kids at Texas, Dixon is going to be a total stud. Sky is the limit. He has the size, speed, athleticism and attitude to have a great career. I think he really breaks out next year.

  2. I agree 100% with your assessment on Keaontay and Dixon. Keaontay actually is more suited for the NFL than most college offenses now days. At Carthage he was literally in a pro style offense lined up 8 yards behind his QB under center in single back or I. Of course he had plenty of playing time running out of shotgun lined up next to the QB as well, but at CHS those were mostly pass blocking downs, screen passes to Keaontay or wheel routes out of the backfield down the sideline or at least on the numbers. Ingram still has tons of potential and it’s a shame his UT career didn’t become what I had hoped it would. However, he still has so much God given talent and in the right situation can be very successful. I wish the absolute best for Ingram. Luckily for Dixon the Sarkisian Era has begun almost at exactly the right time for him. Dixon was able to come into college, learn the ropes, grow physically and is pretty much a carbon copy of the type and style WR Sark loves to utilize in his offense. Dixon could very possibly explode onto the scene next season.

  5. I guess I did, didn't mean it to come across like that but guess I did. I don't think it hit any of my conservative friends in here hard but it is what it is. Here's the secret and I said the multiple times here, I'm a conservative myself (unless it's racial issues) so I guess I'm prejudice against myself. Now that's a paradox.

  6. By the way I teach African American studies and just like I hate when black people are basically taken out of history or it was whitewashed I hate how a lot of whites and I recognize who in the civil Rights movement. So for the next two weeks I'll be covering the white heroes of the movement. Starting with a personal story about my family and Carthage Texas

  7. There was a kid on the side lines throwing before the championship game. He looked to be about 6ft 3 or 4 and maybe 190 pounds. He was throwing a really nice ball with some zip on it. I asked my friend who was he. He didn’t know. Either way, you can bet coach Surratt will have a good to great QB. If Rock gets bigger and stronger with his speed and can handle all that is required of a Dawg QB. The Dawg O will be just fine. The D is going to set records. 80 played on the D line all year and not just as a back up. He was a sophomore and will get bigger and stronger. 88, 25, 26, 28, and 22 made big plays on kick offs and played really well on the second team defense. Their are some big talented O line coming up. Can you imagine the three linebackers and three D linemen getting bigger, stronger, and faster. King and wade bigger, stronger, and faster. I am big time excited. Let’s Go Dawgs God Bless coaches, players, fans.

  9. He will be at Tulane as a PWO. Not sure where the ETBU talk came from. I really think he can earn playing time, and would not be surprised if he earns a scholarship after some time in the program. This young man can play ball.

  12. This right here. Totally agree. He still has time to have a very successful college career, and even play on Sundays. But Texas was not the right scheme fit at all. Wish he could transfer to Wisconsin and play a couple years. I think he has the skills to play on Sundays. And as crazy as this sounds, I think his game is better suited for the NFL then it is college. He is at his best with the QB under center and 8 yards deep in the backfield.

  14. I would have never left the pool. Allegedly white people smell like wet dogs when we get wet according to Chris Arnold formerly of KTCK and currently part of the Mavericks organization. I've heard others say that as well. I don't know why anyone gets bent out of shape about someone else's race, but some do. It's a shame.

  16. You should study up on how the rich turned poor white poor bllacks against each other to stop them from gaining too much power. I don't know if you ever seen the movie The great debaters, but there is a scene when the sharecroppers and Marshall black and white are meeting to make their work environment better and they were rated by the police. I will admit one thing history don't tell you was about the poor blacks and whites working together until the elites created the divide.

  18. My ancestors were not wealthy by any means, & I don’t know much about my family beyond my Great Grandfather, but I Do know that my own grandfather, grandmother, my father & all of his siblings all used to go out to west Texas to pick cotton back in the early 1930’s & the years prior to World War ll, as did my mother’s side of the family, & They were poorer than my Dad’s side of the family; That’s Four generations of my family that never owned nor worked slaves going back to the post Civil War Era. To me, the rest is Ancient History.

  19. Just to expand on the projected district MVPs....I wanted to give a little reasoning behind them. Really would be shocked if anyone other than HP's Brennan Storer earned overall MVP. Its the typical dart throwing HP QB only this time, the feet may be just as dangerous. He trained with Air14 which is ran by Kyler Murray's dad, Kevin Murray. The talent he has, the system he's in, the targets he'll have....Storer runs away with the overall MVP. Offensive, I went with Longview's Jalen Hale. But I wouldnt be shocked if a Longview RB earned it. Thing is, Longview could be going by committee in the backfield....so Hale was the safe pick. Defensive, I gave Longview Mike LB Devean Isaac the edge but I truly believe that it'll come down to him and HP OLB George Wright. District stats from last year werent easy to come by because the district statistician passed away last year, so no one really kept up with them but I was able to get my hands on some. Wright had 87 tackles, 2 INT, 3 FF, 1 PBU, 3 sacks and 4 TFL last year. True sideline to sideline player that was really good at snooping out screen plays. As a matter of fact, both of his INTs were on screen plays. Wright was the one that caught the game winning screen INT vs Longview. Also had a screen pick 6 earlier in the season vs Rockwall. Isaac had 75 tackles, 14 TFLs, 6 sacks, 4 FF and 2 PBU. Great numbers when you consider he was playing beside district defensive MVP Kybo Jackson-Jamerson and LB Laqualon Hale, who wins DMVP if Kybo doesnt.

  20. yea i got a little worried when they wanted to put a bunch of weight on him and make him a battering ram since the line couldnt make any holes. hopefully he will find his niche in another program. problem with texas now is they cant even recruit good offensive lineman legacies.

  22. They just had a Shelby County native that had a ring as a HC. It appears that that guy got fed up with the politics and left. From 2011-2013 they had a very energetic Center native that connected with the kids, he won a lot of games, and he put a product on the field that was “fun to watch”, because that matters in Center. That guy got fed up and left. Maybe the problem isn’t the coaches.

  23. I don’t know how much Jasper and Silsbee are returning, but i don’t see how Carthage won’t be #1 to start the year. With what’s coming back on defense and a decent number of offense starters, granted missing a few at key positions. Gilmer should be somewhere near top. I’d imagine PG will start start out somewhere in top 5-10. WOS as well. Was that the N/A? Lol

It’s not enough to collect the taxes from people with no kids in the system but live in the discrict, no he wants it all from everybody. One day we will all work for the mothership! 30. If a gang of whites attacked you, would you consider it racism? I’ll answer for you, yes you would. Some years ago, while leaving a HS Football game, I was blindsided to my temple by one of 3 blacks I had just passed. After shaking my head to clear it, I went after them. By then, there were about 20 blacks facing me. After a few punches were thrown, another black man came up and broke it up. Understand this guy/gal, individual racism comes in all colors. Too many blacks think whites are the only folks who hate others because of the color of someone’s skin. That’s just not the case. Racism comes in all races/colors.

  31. So if you have never been a victim of racism, why are your views so strong against the ones who say it exists? As for entertainers and athletes, white america has NEVER had an issue being entertained by blacks. They couldn't stay in the same hotels back in the day but they can sing dance for them all night. I think you see my point there. Black on black, numbers don't lie but white on white is pretty high too. People commit crimes against who they are around. To be honest, i'm more likely to be a victim of racism than killed by a black person. I'm talking about racism. Feel free to start a thread about black on black. HEck i'll come over and join but I rather in this interaction we stay on topic.

Center is a puzzle to me. It’s like they don’t want decent restaurants there. daryl’s bbq is probably the best place there. And that’s not saying a bunch.
