  1. No truer words ever typed. If he gets the start and they get rolling, it is going to be a good night of football. I just think Bryant's line play is going to be a difference maker in the game. They should be favored to win, but they are going to have to take it.

  3. Nice post TBlue. Lawson is the right coach for this team. Center can definitely relate to what I put in BOLD in your post.

  4. I think it’ll be good game. Longview although young still prob has a better secondary at least in overall speed that Bryant has seen in a little bit.

  5. I also want to thank Texas for their contribution to the cause. I expect arkansas to be ranked for their matchup with A&M giving us another potential top 25 win!

  6. My understanding is that, as this is a home game, ticket sales will follow the usual format. There should be some general admission tickets available at the gate. Of course, all that could change tomorrow. Who knows. But as soon as I know what's official I'll be glad to share it here, if LoboFan or Anti don't first.

  7. A lot of things have changed for EF since week 1. Hard to judge EF by the Harmony game. Harmony win & EF lost, can’t change that, but some other important things about EF are different from week 1.

  8. So as far as the QB situation went, I didn't blame Texas with starting Card, or even sticking with him through half the game. When he missed wide open receivers down the field on back to back plays, I would have pulled him then. Not even necessarily because he missed those throws, but because the 3 man rush was leaving TONS of running room, and Card just isn't a quick enough runner to take advantage of that. Immediately when Thompson came in the game, he started having success just because of that extra element. Thompson has the quickness to ate least make a defense throw extra defenders 1-10 yards beyond the line of scrimmage. Arkansas was rushing 3, and dropping back 10 yards. They could care less if you hit the underneath, because they were anticipating it. O-line just got beat. They know it, we know it, Sark knows it. They will be hammered with film this week. I heard in post-game Sark spoke about the defense playing well early on, and I think he was right. Though you'd love for the Texas defense to pitch shutouts early, giving up 16 points in the first half with the offense in constant struggle, and short field most of the time, it's hard to ask for much more. They just got worn down. I heard Sark say 47 rush attempts, I counted 45, but either way it's still a ton, with 7 different players running the football. Some things that happened this game were just ridiculous though. J-Whitt dropping passes left and right. I'm not sure what has gotten into Dicker, but he's on the struggle bus right now. That deep snap on the punt... it's like he wasn't even watching it. What else are you supposed to be watching at that point? Kick was a long one, but one he should probably make. He's 1/3 at the moment. I'm not falling off the wagon. It's Sark's first season. I think he'll figure some things out, and quite frankly, I think Texas might have needed this game to figure out which QB was your actual starter. CT is just a leader, and it showed. Nothing against Card, because I think he'll be great, but I do think CT is the QB this team NEEDS at the moment.

  9. As a dad of some of the “skilled” kids in the program, would I like to see us toss it around more?... Sure but it’s not what’s best for the team. Sure they would be in a more natural position that fits their skill set but I feel the team would suffer overall cuz of other parts not being up to par... So I tell mine to get in line and do what’s best for the entire team and sacrifice some individual accolades to achieve success for the greater good. After all, as has been aforementioned Joe doesn’t have many D1 athletes come through our halls and if you are athletic enough to play on the next level then your talent will shine no matter what position you play. Plus as my kids interact with other teammates they realize the sacrifices that are taken. That helps produce relationships and friendships that will last a lifetime while these young men grow up and have families of their own. After all we not talking about college or pro sports, it’s just High school sports, where our kids are supposed to be having the time of their lives free of stress and cares of the grown up world.... If adults could just get out of the way and not allow jealous and selfish ambitions to ruin it.....

  11. I already decided...after I saw it work and after it was prescribed by a real doctor. You are the one that is saying it doesn't work so you are the one that must decide what to do for you and your family. But that decision is one that should be an option for everybody...not forced vaccinations with a drug that wasn't properly tested and does not protect you from catching Covid...and has killed many...and has many severe side effects...no thanks!

  12. This game very well could be an early playoff game. The losing team will likely need a couple upsets to make playoffs.

  13. So if it is 4 months old, it doesn't apply? Really? Same drug and same disease. You believe what you want and I will believe what I have seen work. That is how it should be...you have the free will to choose your treatment and I have the same.

  15. The amount it took to kill Covid in a test tube is 100x the amount the drs can safely prescribe for you. The amount that killed Covid would be lethal in humans.

  16. C&C, I usually like you alright, but man, you’re very obnoxious on this thread. Go start a Carthage defense thread and listen to yourself talk, man. Everyone on this board knows your opinion on the Dawgs defense, and on the Dawgs in general. You don’t need to chime in every single time someone has another opinion that has nothing to do with the Dawgs. And this may blow your mind, but your opinion may not be right.

  19. The defense can keep them in any game. They are getting their starting DT back next week which should help with run fits and they get the other starting corner back as well. Both of those guys absences have been felt so the defense should continue to improve. This is a very high ceiling team but they also have a lower floor than originally thought. I could easily see this team challenging everyone else including bama if the defense sures up their run fits. But I could also see ole miss being a terrible mismatch and beating us along with a bama whipping and a sneaky arkansas or auburn loss as well. That arkansas game in two weeks will tell a lot about where these team stands.

  27. This was an ugly win for A&M but all the credit to CU. I do think if king doeantngo down A&M finds its offense sooner and maybe covers because of how good the defense played, but still a gritty win none the less. You'll have those. Calzada has a LONG way to go. He had time today for the most part but missed a lot of throws. He's throwing heat the whole time and it was clear the WRs are not use to his ball as they dropped many they had hands on but calzada simply had so much on it they couldn't bring it down. That happens a lot when you miss high like calzada tends to do. I'll take the ugly win but there's a long way to go for this team if they plan on winning 10+. The team I saw today loses to Bama and Ole Miss handily while also likely dropping a game vs Auburn or LSU. Defense buckled down late but Ole Miss will score in bunches playing like they did first half.

Dont forget that Franklin beat Lorena by 7 and China springs a top ranked 4ad2 beat them by 8... I think your goin to be surprised at the talent on this team. Franklin is every bit as good as bellville imo
