Funny. I am not saying EF was state title contenders that game, but were up 41-0 with 8 min left in the 2nd qt and Winona started a running clock. EF had their best player not playing, sat 3 other starters with lil injuries after the 2nd possession and played backups the rest of the way from the 8 min mark in the 2nd. Winona had negative yards at halftime, EF had 3 INT's and 3 sacks in the half. Then I left. I wish we could be that non impressive, every..lol

That is my main issue is the consistency. We had one good game out of three against a team we aren't sure really how good they are. This Bryant team is most likely better than anyone except DR but again we don't know much about them. My thought is we have a team that at this point has had ups and downs. Bryant has not. WP4L said it best when it will be our defense that will carry us in this game. In our history under King, these teams that are disciplined, run a sound system, and are dynamic have usually beat us based on our mistakes. I won't make the mistake of underestimating them.

I dunno that I'd say they took us to the wire. I'd definitely say our coach learnt himself a valuable lesson about Daingerfield. We were up 35-6 on them with 6 minutes left. Coach tried to treat them like they were a New Diana and went into clock mode, then proceeded to put 2s on the field. Nope, not that kinda opponent......22 points and 5 mins later, Holman was is "WTH" mode. That whole dive, dive, dive, punt mode against DF is a no no when they have those kinda weapons. Moral of the story.....don't take your foot off the gas and go into limp mode with a team that has just as many weapons as you. And more importantly, if Daingerfield is healthy......you boys down in D2 gots a problem on your hands. And yes, DF could walk away with this game.

I guess you don’t remember him running for his life in the second half. I was sitting with some old SH coaches and was getting all the info that most people don’t even see the difference. SH won the first half and barely was ahead and then got hammered the second half. Dillon Brown was a badass but he got hit several times that led to the breakdown. Henderson went man to man and the talent level showed real quick.

PG has a great passing gm from their wing-t. Seen them win some big gms with it.

Speaking of Barlow; in case ya'll didn't know it Darwin entered the transfer portal this year, and transferred to USC. Since I read today, they fired the head football Coach. I hope he didn't make a bad move. I can see why he transferred. That Zack Evans is a beast. He averaged 7.6 yards per carry last year, and he is only a Sophomore. He gained 190 yards on 22 carries against Cal. Chances are good Barlow wouldn't get many touches behind that kid.
