If anyone says any other name other than Scott Surratt....they're either lying or got an issue in which we shouldn't discuss on a forum. I will take this time to honor 2 previous Tatum greats. A great man, I'd take back at the helm for sure, that created great young men and was a pretty awesome coach. Coach Andy Evans. Also another great, during his time of course, Coach John "I ain't gonna throw it" Crawford.

Would definitely be number 1 on most people's list. That man has won more state championships than any coach in the state of Texas . He is the Tom Brady of coaches.

Lindale has played a few teams already as good or possibly better than Kilgore. They have been held under 30 once by Henderson at 28, which was a weird game. I don’t see any way Kilgore all of a sudden holds them to 10 . But Kilgore hasn’t played a team yet this year as good as Lindale.

We are very fortunate to have Coach Evans running our boys Jr High program at Beckville. Those kids would run through a brick wall for him. And as far as an AD, I think we’ve got a pretty good one in Cody Ross. He’s got a great staff with him, and they’ve got Beckville headed straight up.

You can add him to. I felt Gilmer could of definitely had 2 or more state championships had he stayed in Gilmer. Comparing his high school coaching resume where it stands now. Scott Surratt is definitely better comparing to .

The biggest one being his record. His win/loss record was mediocre at best. Thats not counting his off the field stuff. I'm just saying that every Texas fan I know including on here thinks Texas is a top 5 job in all of college football. But this was not a top 5 hire on paper IMO. If you're a top 5 job you go steal a top 5 coach.

If the Dawg offense turns it up a notch and does not turn the ball over on its on side of the. The Dawg defense will take care of the rest. You can’t win if you can’t score. I think we will see both sides of the ball get a lot better when the playoff horn goes off.

I’m curious as well. I’m wondering if they’ll up the cutoff at 240 or more like 235... Cooper should be ok at 233 though. I think Collinsville may be going down to 2A D2, so it’ll be interesting to see if the cutoff goes to 240 & WW go into that district 5 replacing Collinsville.

For District 12 I think Holland is ahead of Thorndale right now because Thorndale has 2 losses (Thrall & Hearne) while Holland only has 1 (Thorndale). However, should Thrall beat Holland next game, then Thorndale moves into 2nd place because Holland would have 2 losses and Thorndale has the head to head with them. Hearne has 1 loss and that is to Holland. Clear as mud?
