Didn't attend the game but complaining about officiating, interesting. Actually, Longview got the short end of the officiating last night. Magnolia's right tackle sure loved holding...but it was never called.

As long as Thomas starts, I think we have a good chance to dominate tbh. Hopefully we can get Fairchild and Tatum back healthy. You could see later in the game why Tatum wasn't playing. We just can't escape the injury bug this year. Regardless, we dominated last night outside of a 4 minute stretch where they got 17 of their 24 points. No doubt it changed the game, but finally this team stepped up to the occasion and took control. That 7:40 drive to start the 3rd was glorious. Josh continues to show why he should be the starter and Jalen is gonna Jalen. Our young defense, overall, is going to make mistakes. But they've rebounded extremely well constantly all year, minus the North game. Just gotta keep doing Lobo football, and keep those turnovers and penalties down. No doubt we're good for at least one personal foul penalty a game though.

The closest anyone has played Carthage all year was Crosby. They are a good 5a team that Carthage beat in the first game of the year 27-24. Funny thing is that almost half of Carthage’s team was out with covid and a lot of young backups played in that game but somehow Carthage still won. Crosby is 9-2 overall and 7-0 in district play. They are a good 5a team. I’ve said from the beginning of this year that this years Carthage team will be just like the Baltimore Ravens team the year they won the Super Bowl. They didn’t have a high powered offense but what they had was a ferocious defense that smothered their opponents. Ray Lewis was the leader of that defense just like Kip Lewis is the leader of Carthage’s defense. Ray Lewis would tell the offense if y’all can score a few times that’s all we need because we will take care of the rest. If Carthage’s offense can take care of the ball and not turn it over multiple times and put a few scores on the board then that Dawg D will win the game for them everytime and nobody in 4a will beat Carthage. I can even see Madrano Carthage’s field goal kicker playing a big role deep in the playoffs this year. A win is a win no matter if you win by 3. Good luck Dawgs the rest of the way! Once people start Holmes accountable sorry coaching and picking sorry staff then the program will be in a better place, it ridiculous that some fans are ok with being mediocre. That’s why we are at home and legacy is thriving. Holmes has had years to get it right, I don’t care about who is coming back will be average as hell again because we have coaches that don’t develop players, and we play a defense that will lose us more games until we change the scheme. We don’t have QB, because Mcfall is not a QB he is a RB. We just are down bad and will have another wasted season and will be that way every year as long as Holmes is over the program. We will be just like Lufkin is currently.

What does Chapel Hill have to do with Legacy....they are in two different school districts. Rezoning only affected Tyler ISD...not Chapel Hill ISD....come on man....smh.

I think everyone is OK if you dont get it, but to rehash the same point again - with an example : Gunter was up 49-0 at the half over Scurry Rosser. Backups played the second half. No running clock. Game ended 62-7. Backups and JV call ups played the entire second half (as the vast majority of teams in this same position would do). The winning team's coaches get to give their younger and JV kids playoff experience and playing time in general while testing what kind of kids they have coming up. The fans get to see what sort of kids we have coming up in the future, and the kids on the losing side played a competitive half of football - many of whom will never put the pads on again after that game ended. In your world, you would have their last memory playing football being told they weren't good enough to finish the game. I saw the game (and I've seen very many exactly like it), by the time the game was clearly won, those kids on the other team didnt care what the score was. They were still playing football. They never gave up, and their fans were as loud when they made a good play down 62-0 as they were when it was 0-0. If you dont like it, leave the game or otherwise stop following it. It has literally no other impact on you.

Well, The Bearkats had their chances… hats off to the Evadale Rebels and good luck going forward in the playoffs. I believe they will win their next game. They knew what worked and they took advantage. Scored two of their TD’s on the play I said they needed to look out for and would not adjust. Bearkats had the ball inside Evadale’s 15 four times and either fumbled or turned it over on downs due to lack of variety of play calling and poor execution. Probably good execution would have got the job done… but that’s the way it goes. Cushing will lose 3 seniors but have a good 6-1 JV moving up. The lone loss to Carlisle which has some of the best coaching you could ask for. My hats off to the seniors playing their last game… I feel for you young men… this is a life-building step and you put forth the effort. You will be better for what you have experienced the last four years.

I think us Bulldog fans have gotten so accustomed to the offense consistently executing at a very high level that a few mistakes and missed opportunities throughout the course of a game feels like the world is ending. I do agree we need the offense to execute better than it has, but they’ve always done enough to win. The defense is doing its thing and will anchor the team. Long ways to go, and I still trust this team to win out and win #9!!!!!!!!! Go Dawgs!!!!!!!!!
