I went cloth shopping today for my two kids (stupid expensive growth spurts). We went to several places. Every store had their 4th of July displays out. I was looking at all of them. I noticed every single thing that was made in either China, Cambodia, and Vietnam. Can we at least manufacture our own 4th of July patriotic them shirts, flags, pins, keychains, etc.... This should not be a political issue. Should be common sense thing.

Longview definitely looked very strong today. I definitely expect that to carry over into the fall when it really counts.

I would love to hear the true reasoning behind the soccer and freshman proposals. The freshman thing sounds like an angry parent whose own child got passed up because a freshman was better. The soccer move makes literally zero sense. They did it in the mid 80s and it lasted just two years for a reason.

These are written proposals from the public....UIL will discuss them but everyone is getting up in arms about proposals that have very little chance of passing

Longview looked outstanding all day..clearly the best team in the tournament Tyler had some moments early...did not look great in the last game vs Lufkin and it carried over early against Longview, dug themselves a big hole... Mount Pleasant looked very good for their first tournament ever...

Longview beat Tyler high 27-15 to qualify for state. It was a solid day for Tyler High to go 3-1 on the day.

Lufkin lost to Mt Pleasant 19-18 Lufkin beat North Forney 28-14 Lufkin lost to Tyler 14-6 Lord help us.

Lobos beat Whitehouse, 34-13. As good as I’ve ever seen a Longview team look in group 7v7. Onto the Semis.

My personal opinion is that aluminum bats should be outlawed at the college level. I can see why high schools should be able to use them......lighter weight for more offense, cost of replacing broken wood bats, and the players are not yet fully developed physically to do serious damage on hot shots to the pitcher. But there is no good reason IMO for the use of aluminum bats at the next level past high school.

When President Biden was inaugurated on Jan. 20, 2020 price for stock of Exonmobile was 40 dollars a share. Now it almost 100 dollars a share. I don’t know how many players Paris lost last year but Argyle and Melissa moving up to 5A should be a tremendous help. Does anyone know how Paris might perform this fall?
