I know right. Elementary level thinking at it's finest. "I beat this person running and that person beat you". So I can beat you too. My Tigers are getting ready to play. I'm impatiently waiting for the season to begin. We will see what's what soon enough.3 points

Carthage offense will be back to normal. Defense will no t be as good but as long as the offense is doing their thing, the dawgs will be a favorite.1 point

Lol, yea typical liberal. They know (term used very loosely) what’s best for everybody else when they clearly don’t know what’s best for themselves. They don’t realize that an unarmed citizenry doesn’t mean the govt will still be nice.1 point

So a man can't have an opinion on abortion because he doesn't own the proper parts, yet you can have an opinion on guns without ever having purchased one? Typical liberal I bet you think we need tougher background checks, yet you've never completed one to buy a gun.1 point

Aw yes, that pesky old document that was meant to change with the times. I wonder why the founders didn’t feel the need to address driving cars as a right.1 point

Actually it wasn’t just the government that had guns during that time.1 point

I have my grandfather’s old shotgun. Other than that I have no need for one. I don’t walk around scared of my own shadow thinking that I need to have a gun on me at all times.1 point

As TrueBlue stated above, yes, this is Tenaha’s district until someone proves otherwise. Carlisle will also be very stout, and Cushing will be more efficient in their offense and it should run more natural this year. As for us, we don’t really know what to expect yet. Only guarantee is that the kids will not lay down. Offensively, it’s a new offense (AGAIN SMH). From averaging a dismal 18 points two years ago in an offense that imo had entirely too much pre snap motion and cost more drives penalty-wise than it helped, to the line up and go power style in the veer last year that averaged 40 plus a game and had us one of the top 10 improved in all of Texas, to something new again this year. I just don’t know what to expect. I know one thing, we’ve got a guy that the kids love and who showed a couple years ago that he knows how to prepare a team during the week when given an opportunity to do so (his way). This whole program will be “his way” now, and I am excited to see what we will look like. I’m a homer and it’s no secret, so give me the Jackets to shock this district this year and come out on top. Lol1 point

He just hollered at one reporter who asked him about the lack of support “look at the polls, Jack”…. Lol. Yea look at them1 point

We beat so and so in week 2, then that team beat so and so in week 10. But that team lost to so and so in week 1, and then my secon cousin twice removed watched them play in week 8, and said they have a great shot of beating so and so, because of the schedule and who they beat……..1 point

I'm really sorry about your friend. Sounds like he could have been my friend too. But I trust my immune system a hell of a lot more than I trust the government and big pharma. I know they aren't doing anything because they care about you or me....especially when it comes to so called "vaccines".1 point

My opinion: As an outsider looking in: Other than a handful of upper level positions, teachers coaches and other people in education are seriously under paid for the job they are asked to do. Throw in the responsibilities that keep adding up combined with the inability to properly discipline students and you have the formula for an undesirable occupation. Oh, and my dad definitely had more grit than I'll ever have. Just thought I'd throw that in there...1 point

I think Carthage will still have a good season, but I will say I'm going to be even more skeptical of the offense than I was last year. They will need to have improved big time to make up for what was lost on defense, otherwise it will be another early playoff exit.1 point

3A-II darkhorse they listed in Bells is one I'm watching too. We moved down into a district with them this year, and obviously Gunter is a cut above everyone else in there, but I think Bells is going to make a deep run in the playoffs. I've seen those boys for years growing up and I know they are bringing up several kids from an undefeated JV last year that are probably better than or at least as good as what they lost from this past season, especially on the line.1 point

Correct me if I’m wrong but I believe that suicide and homicide are two completely different things which is why I asked for the homicide rate between the two countries.1 point

Melissa got skull drug by Frisco Memorial (non-playoff team) last year and then a month later skunked Argyle 21-0. The jump from 4A to 5A ain't what it use to be with the division split, but it's still one of the biggest jumps. Both Melissa and Argyle have their work cut out, but Argyle was given the golden brick road to the playoffs. Melissa isn't in the toughest district, but with their rapid growth they should be OK and make the playoffs.1 point
