  1. That is true.......but no matter how ya cut it.....yall gave up 535 yards and 42 points to a school nearly 1/3rd of yalls enrollment.

  2. From 12News: “It feels really good. I’ve gotta give all praise to my O-Line,” said Wilson. “I haven’t been sacked in like four or five games.“ This should be bulletin board material for Lobo defense.

  3. After talking to my ole Buddy Ravodney Hardy and learning the very basic ins and outs of how Surratt does things it's no wonder he's had the success he's had at Carthage.

  8. He has been there the same number of years that Surratt has been at Carthage based on info in this thread. He has won right at half the number of games they have at Carthage. Now, before you start saying Carthage is a special place etc. It wasn’t before Surratt. And, I can remember a short few years ago that kids from Dfield, PP, and LK not to mention other places were transferring to HS. That place had the makings of being a Carthage or Gilmer of the 3A world. Didn’t y’all beat Dfield once or twice a couple years ago? I’m not saying it’s all one person’s fault, but when you’ve had 16 years to make a place special and you haven’t done anything to speak of in 5-6 years, something isn’t right.

  9. I think ultimately it's a CH win but Lumberton's offense and the pace they run it is pretty salty. They have speed at WR and in the secondary and have a ton of size at OL and in their front 7 on D. They got some height at WR as well. As I stated before, i think they match up with spread teams better than smashmouth style offenses like the Flex/Slot/Wing offenses. With all that being said.....I'm thinking shoot out. Something along the lines of..... CH 56 Lumberton 41 or so CH's defense hasn't been all that disciplined this year....Lumberton is gonna have some success I think, they run their offense quite well.....just won't be enough.

  13. The fewer times Bussey handles the ball in the open field, the better the opponent's chances ... he is one of the most dangerous high school players I have ever seen when he gets in space .... he looks like like he's in the movie The Matrix and everyone around him is in super slow motion ...

  20. I am really surprised that some young daddy hasn’t gotten on here and said that it was because he run an archaic offense like the slot t and not the fabulous spread that is the savior to all programs.

  26. Chapel Hill should run for days if they like to run outside. Running up the middle may not be so easy. They really are big up front and very talented. Think they got 2 D1 kids in the front 7.

  29. Man... I'm not sure why so many people are so sure about this. Y'all should have witnessed that game in Joaquin about a month back. Centerville CAN win this game people. Don't be shocked if they do. I expect Timpson to be able to pull it out but in no way do I think this game is going to be easy for the Bears. You're hearing it here first.

  30. I am a Stephenville resident who had to shake his head at some of the comments from "Swarm" in a few of his posts and since he didn't respond to you all I will. I first need to say congrats to the kids and coaches from Anna. They played great and made the plays to win the game and move on to play Celina. It was a tough game for both teams but both did play hard. Keep winning Anna! Lastly, the Jackets went 25 wins and 3 losses over the last couple years. Pretty awesome to do that as in my lifetime have seen some pretty lean years from Stephenville as well as my High School, the Copperas Cove Bulldogs. This year the Jackets lost those three games by a total of 4 points so that in itself is pretty impressive with a number of teams they beat in the regular season and district (as well as some they lost to) still in the playoffs. Definitely a weird year in the Ville with injuries, so many of them, but that happens in sports so a 9-3 final record for 2022 is not that bad! This time of year is awesome just to be a fan of high school football so whoever you root for keep it up and as always keep it classy!

  32. Let's take a look at the most recent/relative decade of football at Tyler Chapel Hill. 2021) 11-4, 2020) 8-5, 2019) 2-8, 2018) 1-9, 2017) 3-7, 2016) 2-8, 2015) 3-8, 2014) 6-6, 2013) 9-5, 2012 ) 3-7 That makes for a 48 wins 67 losses. No urban dictionary on earth will have that as an example of elite.

  35. Turn a program around? I think you mean advance them further! There are hundreds of schools that would love to sniff the playoffs and he has made it every year but one! Be careful what you wish for! Grass isn’t always greener on other side

  36. Looking at some historical stats... Isaiah Ross is currently sitting at 2,158 rushing yds on the season for Kilgore. That ranks 4th all-time for Kilgore single-season rushing. He needs 38 yds to pass E.D. (Extremely Dangerous) Jackson ('87) for 3rd He needs 129 yds to pass Davin Rider ('21) for 2nd Keith Gilliam (2004) sits at the top with 2,775 yds (16 games).
