  3. Right? I have it on good authority that starters not playing are merely excuses. Then again, it's the mental midget Kurt we're talking about here

  4. DFW > Houston in every way as far as individual every day living. Houston, even the good suburban areas like The Woodlands aggravate me, and the city has so many dirty areas, I just highly dislike it. Dallas-Fort Worth has some run down areas, no doubt, but many very desirable surrounding smaller cities within the Metroplex, it’s just better, in my opinion. We lived in DFW for about 17 years and I also have customers in the Houston area I have to go visit. Spent plenty of time in and around Houston, and I am just not a fan, I think it’s gross, while it is still a key city for our country. I’m very glad we’ve not had to watch the Bulldogs play state championship games down there.

  5. It’s not quite that clear. This team is loaded with talent. Could easily be a SEC west contender next year. Could also be a 5-7 team again. Jimbos program is not entirely a dumpster fire just yet. Although I am new to this. It’s your programs that’s had plenty of experience as the dumpster fire lately. You might recognize it better than I do.

  13. I have always voted for more conservative primary candidates running against RINOs like Cornyn ... if they are unable to unseat the RINO, then it's imperative seats aren't lost to ultra liberal dimocrat challengers .... once the general election happens it comes down to gaining or holding a republican majority in order to govern in the most conservative way possible ... when the dims are in the majority conservatives loses more and more ground on many important issues .... America is far better off when we are not governed by liberal dimocrats in the WH and in control of congress .... no, the Republicans aren't any better on spending, but when it comes down to appointing Supreme Court nominees, 2nd amendment rights, national security and a host of other issues, I'll take the Republicans any day over the dims ....

  14. They’ll never rotate unless they absolutely have to. NRG is in a bad spot. The dome in San Antonio is a dump. It’s 2022….. sawfties don’t wanna play or sit in weather for a game.

  16. One dimensional Tennessee. Stop King Henry you stop Tennessee. I wish Burks (former Hog WR legend) got drafted by another team instead of Tennessee. This game "should" be a lay-up for Dallas. I wont be surprised by any outcome in this one.

  27. Since 2012, one team is 90-48, one team is 78-59. One team has 1 losing season, one team has 4. 1 team has 1 5-7 season, one team has 3 5-7 season. One team has been through 2 coaches, one team has been through 4 coaches. It’s like arguing about who’s the taller midget. The records speak for themselves. Bothe teams can underperform. Both teams can have hope “they are back.”

  33. For someone who isn't looking down on rural areas you sure are taking multiple shots at the fans who live there. My grandson's school played playoff games this year at both NRG & AT&T. Both my grandsons loved both places but thought the rules they had to go by at AT&T were stricter. Understandable since AT&T had to work with 6 different teams on that day and NRG was only dealing with 2. I would say at least 6 of their games this year were in the Houston area. Both my grandsons enjoyed every game, including the bus rides to get there, whether it was Houston or Arlington. I also took my oldest grandson to his 1st NBA game that was in the Toyota Center. He loved it despite all the issues we had. Personally, as a fan, my experiences with AT&T Stadium have been great. I've seen high school games there & college games and never had any problems. Same with the other pro stadiums in Arlington, Irving and the Metroplex. My experiences in Houston haven't been the same. The Toyota Center was horrible, although the people who work there are fantastic. NRG was not as bad but I doubt I would ever go back. MinuteMaid was fun but my best experiences in Houston were a long time ago at the Astrodome. Bottom line for me is I'd much rather have the State Championship games all together at AT&T. As far as a regular season game or playoff game I'd much rather go to the great stadiums in NE Texas. We have plenty of good ones to choose from. The best Stadium atmosphere that I've ever been to outside of NE Texas is The Reservation in PNG.

  36. A&M boss Jimbo Fisher himself made quite a few comments on the Aggies’ search for an offensive coordinator in his signing day press conference by noting this: “when you draw it on the board...there ain't a hill of beans between them. I keep saying that whether it's pro style, spread, Air Raid...they're all the same. Football is football. A over is an over, a dig's a dig (routes). We'll get the right guy that we think can fit and move the football.” Fisher wants to be able to run much of the same system that he’s been running on offense much like he did on defense when he added DJ Durkin last winter. He would like to find someone to add some new elements to the offense but what he said publicly is what he believes…the system isn’t an issue. He’s been publicly linked to multiple offensive coordinators such as TCU’s Garrett Riley and Washington’s Ryan Grubb. We’ve confirmed that both have signed extensions and it’s already been released that A&M has been generally offering deals in the range of $2 million annually over a three year period. But nonetheless, the basic system isn’t going to change. It might be tweaked but it’s going to have to be in ways that Fisher as the head coach signs off on. It’s been a successful system in the past. Moreover, Fisher is going to be allowed to hire who he wants without interference from anyone above him. It’s written into Fisher’s contract that he recommends people for positions on his staff and that the people ostensibly above him have to sign off on them. Remember, when A&M head coaches have made coordinator changes in the past, they’ve brought on people they liked and they’ve been responsible for the hire, not anyone else. You’re going to continue to see leaks about names but in the end Fisher will be the one making the hire and he’s the one running the process. There are people who want A&M to radically change things up on that side of the but those people aren’t going to be able to influence things (which is why you see names floated publicly).

  39. Oh, I get it! You're one of those city guys who looks down on those who live in rural areas. That really validates your opinion on an East Texas sports forum! I bet you have an important job in the big city. Custodial Engineer? Waste Removal Specialist? Mall Cop? The events will come to Houston because it's the 4th largest city in the country. Not because it's a wonderful place. I got no problem with it, but it's not recognized as one of the greatest cities in the world. The mayor and county judge are really helping make that worse.

  40. The fact that you think anyone can eat at a Houston Whataburger for $15 (unless they’re like you and dining alone) renders your thoughts on the matter irrelevant. And FTR, I’m not a fan of the DFW metroplex either. However, you are correct about one thing. No one in Houston gives a rat’s rear end about high school football. The attendance for the 2015 championships at NRG bear that out.

  41. “DFW” doesn’t decide for everyone, they may get what they want because they don’t have to travel and can watch good quality football, but they don’t have a say in where the games are played that I am aware of. I have no idea exactly what goes into deciding where the games are played other than I would assume how much $ the UIL makes. At that point it’s a business decision, personally I am not a huge fan of a lot of decisions the UIL makes, especially when it involves $. They almost come across as bad as the NCAA. However, from a business decision perspective, where is the most revenue and profit margin at? What location will generate the largest attendance? Easy decision in my mind. I’m not against it rotating around the state so the largest metro area in each region gets some fiscal benefit. At that point it can’t be just DFW, Houston, Austin, or SA…you would need to include Odessa-Midland, Abilene, El Paso, CC, Tyler… It is what it is, not everyone is going to be happy however they decide or what they decide. I think for $, attendance, and overall experience they could not hold it at a better location than AT&T personally. It really is a matter of equal representation for the other parts of the state. It comes down to whether or not the UIL is willing to sacrifice the above to rotate it. I bet if you polled the players across state as a whole they would want to be going to AT&T.

  42. Gracious God, I call on you right now in a special way. It is through your power that Cooper was created. Every breath he takes, every morning he wakes, and every moment of every hour, Cooper lives under your power. I ask you now to touch him with that same power. For if you created him from nothing, you can certainly recreate him now. Fill him with the healing power of your spirit. Cast out anything that should not be in him. Mend all that is broken. Root out any unproductive cells. Restore any blocked pathways, heal his stomach, restore his neuro pathways, and rebuild any damaged areas. Remove all inflammation and cleanse any infection. Let the warmth of your healing love pass through Cooper’s body to make new any unhealthy areas so that his body will function the way you created it to function. Restore Cooper to full health in mind and body so that he may serve you the rest of his life. Cooper is yours Lord Heal him so that he may do your work here on earth all the days of his life
